It actually was a co-op creation by Toei Animation and Bandai. They worked hand in hand with Bandai to create the plot line for the original Famicom game, then they were the ones that took the storyline from the game and created the Animated Guide for it, which in turn Bandai took and used to create the Playdia version of the game many years later.

How can you say SSj2 power is pathetically weak? Characters with this power are in the top ten of DB and DBZ most powerful characters.

I'm surprised though that there isn't much you guys have to say against it.

What do you guys think about Broly's power in referance to the fight Goku had with Raditz, and how Goku's Kamehameha multiplied his power? Any comments on that?

Well seeing Kamehameha multiplied Goku's power in that time I don't see any reason why the attack wouldn't multiplied his power later in the series even more when now he can go SSj and I think his Kamehameha against Cell is proof of this.

I also think that Goku and Gohan were MSSJ in movie 8. Just because they're not SSJ for the entire duration of the film doesn't prove anything. They weren't SSJ for the entire duration of the Buu saga, but we already know they were MSSJ by then. I think supressed SSJ Broly is around supressed Perfect Cell's power. But in the battle with Cell, Vegeta claimed he put all of his power into the kick and Cell wasn't damaged. In movie 8, it's quite clear he didn't put all of his power into that. So, I'd say supressed SSJ Broly is VERY SLIGHTLY weaker than supressed Perfect Cell. Since he owned Goku and co, LSSJ Broly (movie 8) must be much stronger than Perfect Cell was against Goku. And I don't think Perfect Cell would own everybody in full power as well as Broly did, so I'd say, on pure speculation, that movie 8 LSSJ Broly is more powerful than super perfect cell.

Excellent, excellent post, but this above just says it all for me. It negates everything you've done, all the time that you've put in. It simply proves that the movies are mindless nonsense that are entertaining, sure, but are inexplicable and ridiculous.

Well, not mindless, but they do lack. I mean, why couldn't Goku just have the Zet Senshi combine their powers against Cell like they did with Broly? But anyway, I'm not saying they cheated, because all's fair in love an war, but...that probably wasn't the word I wanted to use. Take it with a grain of salt. I just wanted to say it was cheap.

Although not relevant, I would dispute the positions of Piccolo Buu, SSJ3 Gotenks and Super Buu. Considering what Gotenks was doing to Buu at the end of their fight, I doubt base Goten, base Trunks and Piccolo would quite make the difference. SSJ3 Gotenks > Piccolo Buu > Super Buu, IMO. But anyway.
