Didn't get your question.
A Hero's Legacy is a TV special that shows Goku Jr. a weak and chicken-hearted kid embarking in a journey to save his grandmother (Pan) and turning himself into a brave and SSj warrior. |

Sorry for not being clearer. My question was if this was just a one off movie, or were they actually trying to spin the "Goku is a kid again" idea off again to keep DBGT going.
I understand the original premise: Dragonball is finished, everything that could possibly be done has been done, so let's make Goku a kid again and start over. The problem was that Goku, even though a kid again, still possessed his adult knowledge and powers. There was no way to recreate that sense of wonderment as we watched him grow up from a clueless, savage little boy into the great warrior he became. The premise was flawed. When I saw "A Hero's Legacy," it looked to me like maybe they were going to try and do the same thing again, only this time with Goku's great - great - great - grandson. |

They aren't trying to do anything like that. A Hero's Legacy is just a TV special nothing more. It isn't an anime like DBGT. They only want to explore a bit more Goku Jr. character and link the end of DBGT with that TV special.

I think he meant the actual movie itself, not the timeline.

The movie was meant to be a "history repating itself" angle. A descendant of Goku going off to chase for the four-star Dragon Ball? Comparisons with DB anyone? That was the reason for it. It was cute.

he wouldn't fit in the story huh? then why introduce him at the end of gt. It appeared goku jr and vegeta jr were rivals there. They could at least show him and goku jr fighting.
