That "Genetic Super Saiyan" theory is crap because if that were true, then Bra would be a Super Saiyan regardless of her gender because she has the same genetic composition as Trunks, and she clearly isn't a Super Saiyan.

Goten and Gohan were actually 1/2 Saiyan, 1/2 Human, just for clarification.

Pan was 1/4 Saiyan.

Vegeta's tail was removed before Namek. After the attack from Yajirobe, his tail does not reoccur. Even after the healing pod on Frieza headquartes, there is no tail to be seen. It is to be implied that either losing your tail in Oohzaru form permanently loses your tail or Saiyajin have a certain controlled regeneration ability which in unlikely.

I think the healing pod is exactly what stopped him from growing another tail. I assume it doesn't allow you to grow back other limbs, and I see no reason why the pod would stimulate the biological functions required to cause the spontaneous regrowth of a tail. I think it simply speeds up the healing process, which is entirely seperate from the regrowth process. I believe it would have healed over the stump of Vegeta's tail, causing it to be impossible to regrow, but more likely is that his tail had already healed by that point, but hadn't had time to regrow, and then Bulma had it removed after Namek.

Since in the manga Vegeta says his tail will "grow back" and it never does..... what does that mean?

I also didn't buy that theory and after see Goku Jr. and Vegeta Jr. could go SSj it really can't be applied. Though did you ever thought that Super Saiyan can be just a male thing and females cannot ascend into it no matter her power (even more seeing what Toriyama stated)?

It is a way to health similar to Senzu beans and since these ones don't regrow tails (IIRC) there is no doubt the healing pod would regrow tails.
