In GT, I didn't find Gogeta's personality to be much different from Gotenks's. In movie 12 it was hard to say because he only shows up for a couple minutes, and he bearly speaks at all.

I find Gotenks's personality to be annoying. I don't know if that has anything to do with the kind of fusion used, but Kabito Shin turned out alright. He wasn't that much different from Kaioshin except for the fact that he seemed a little less uptight.

I liked Gogeta's personality in Movie 12, tied with Vegetto's bipolar personality. I hated SSJ4 Gogeta's and Gotenks' personality.

Still seems like two different personalities.

Movie 12 Gogeta seemed quiet and got right to the point of killing Janemba. GT SSJ4 Gogeta fooled around and didn't really try to kill Omega until near the end of his fusion time. Seems like two different people to me, but maybe there's an explanation for it, like the transformations, or just TOEI being idiots.

in movie 12 was the first time they fused so gogeta maybe wanted to finish it quickly & he gave a little smile in the end.. the gogeta scene was short & didnt had time to goof around.. the fat gogeta did fool around a bit

Actually, I think Gotenks had an interesting personality. At first, he was real cocky and dumb, yes, but after learning what fighting a real battle was all about, and realizing the severity of the situation he was actually in, he turned out to be a bit more serious, though essentially a naive kid. I think he would've been a lot cooler if he was presented in GT. His attitude would've been much more comely, and he would've been a lot cooler as an adult.

However, since he doesn't exist in that manner, I'd have to say Vegetto had the coolest personality. He was cool, knew what he was doing, and never messed up. He had Vegeta's supercilious manner, and Goku's intentionally pure intellect. A "good bad-boy".
