Movie 1 and the Dead Zone

Is Movie 1 anime canon?

I personally disagree due to the massive error of it being out of the timeline, it couldn't have been before the Saiyan Saga because that was the first time Krillin saw Gohan yet he knew of Gohan in Movie 1.

HOWEVER

reference to the Dead Zone is made in the Garlic Jr saga, while this isn't manga canon, is it anime canon?

Seeing as they do mention the Dead Zone later on, I would say that yes, Movie 1 is canon.

I would also say it's canon. Krillin probably just forgot or something. There aren't that many inconsistencies in the movie or the saga.

Speaking from the truly canonical standpoint, no it's not canon. But if you mean canon in terms of anime gayness, then yes, it is canon in the anime version due to the fact that Garlic Jr is in the anime version.

Its Anime-Canon.

It doesn't fit because Toei hadn't planned on Garikku Junior returning but they "make it fit" either way.
