Garlic Jr was a desperate man... villain.
Desperation leads to irrational and/or stupid decisions; he was stupid. And this doesn't necessarily prove he was smarter/dumber than Pilaf. You have to remember that Pilaf lost his wish to a horny piglet. |

I'm not saying he didn't make a stupid decision, but it all goes back to Desperation.
So no matter how stupid the decision was, it was because he was "Desperate". Thats the point I was trying to make.

No, I'd say that Garlic was stupid.
He was facing people who were more powerful than him and he's getting beaten down. But he's immortal, so it's not a huge problem. However, his decision at this point was not to try and endure their attacks, but to open the only thing that can defeat him; the Dead Zone. I call that stupid. |

What I can't understand is why he opened the Dead Zone, the one place that scares him to heart of his being. Seems bloody stupid to me.
