Well... ya never know*shrugs* I'm not saying it won't suck horribly, but there is a chance it could be good. There was extreme bitching about the transformers movie, due to Optimus having flames, Ionhide not being red etc- bascally the fact it's a re-imagining rather than just a continuation.
Of ourse, if this was a 're-imagination' it'd be easier to accept, but it's not. It's a bastardisation of the franchise, a cliché fil with the Dragonball characters names thrown in to attract fans. Simply put, if your not going to have Goku be a kid who grows up in the wilderness, meets his friens, and goes through a the characters experiences... it's not Goku. And if it's not Goku, then why name the character Goku? These guys personalities are going to be so off... My main complaint, though, si the fact they INVENTED characters. Why the fuck would you do that, given the wealth of chars in the DBZ mythos? Krillen could easily be a school bully type character, which would make his death against Freiza all the more poignant- instead, it just feels as thouh the director is saying he kows best and inventing shallow steretypes. Which re-enforces this is just Dawsons Creek with a layer of names and flashy ki thrown over it.

There's always a hope that it'll be good, but I don't think it'll ever be more than a hope. They have, as Eragon said, completely bastardised the series.
I've said it multiple times before and I'll say it again. The only people who will be willing to watch this will be Dragon Ball fans, and if you don't make them happy than you're fucked.
