It looks like the Thunderbird film when I look at that one highschool image. I don't know why. Maybe it's because of a childhood animation I love being made into complete drivel on the big screen.
I adored Thunderbirds, I still do, but that live action shoite made a complete mess of it and I have a feeling that this DB film will do that same.
Thankfully the integrity of the originals aren't tarnished by these attempts at the big screen but that doesn't make it damn painful to watch ^_^

I know what you mean, but, in DB, Goku is heroic since he is a child, but i think this movie is going for the journey of the character, to eventually make him like he is in the manga/anime, so the next movies he is the goku we know(Trilogy is confirm by Masters)

In both sucesful movies that Stephen Chow have made (Kung fu Hustle and, Show lin Soccer) The character goes from a humble little character to a winner, and i Think they are going to use this path, i know is have being done a lot, and i know is not how Goku start in the series, but is the formula they are using it, That part sucks. but probably the ones that are no fans like us will see it as ok, Goku is a simple character for a live action movie.

Goku will end this movie like the Goku we all know, he will fight Piccolo, he will learn the Kamehame ha, he is saiyan, we probably see him Ozarou, He will learn from Roshi and He will be the heroe he is, so the path for DBZ movies he wont be the highschool kid anymore.

I think is really close to a Forbidden Kingdoom movie than a thunderbirds movie, plus ki blast attack and The Mafuba.

so lets make the characters look different, not include characters that were in the series like Krillen or Tein, not start with Goku being a Kid fighting robots and guns with guns (because we all know hoe boringgggg that would have been) and add shitty romance to it, sounds cool... I dont care what anyone thinks, I CAN DO BETTER. Im a DBZ fan and I could WAY better than the crap there given us....

Goku sounds like he's gonna be Gohan >_>; And I hate his actor. He doesn't look like Goku... I get that ya can't actually make anyone be like him, but still... I jus', dun get a vibe of a 'saviour of the universe' from him.

Also... am I the only one surprised that American actors are gonna be given asian names? It just doesn't seem to sit well with me...
