I agree ... I loved the old open air arena they had with large square tiles for the ring and the 4 pillars at each corner. This whole wrestling mat, indoor arena b/s looks like it wants to copy bloodsport with the a lighter side of balls of fury. It would be cool though if someone takes flight and just demolishes the ceiling of the indoor arena! I hope they can pull it off. I hear the budget is pretty big...

Anyways, due to all of the American comics making it big on the Hollywood screen (X-Men, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Sin City, etc), other directors and producers have decided to get in on this comic to live action craze by going to Asian comics.Over the next few years expect to see all of these and more made into live action: Sailor Moon, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Blood the Last Vampire, Priest, Pet Shop of Horrors, Witch Hunter Robin, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Ninja Scroll, Akira, and Lupin III
Even though it doesnt have something to do with dbz this are some anime that are supposed to be made into movie besides speed racer,astro boy and db

ooh nice - Cowboy Beebop and Lupin III will translate beautifully into a live action film if directed by John Woo, but I don't think so much for the others... and sailor moon may be a disaster.

Yeah all cartoons turn live action are subject to fail depending on who is working on them and how closely the original animators are working on set.

It will be made into a two part film with each one covering three volumes. So it looks like its more the manga than the other film. Out of those ones you listed the only one apart from Akira I'm really interested in is Bebop and maybe NGE but I havn't seen all of it and it will probaly fail. Cowboy Bebop will be good 'cause its short and most of the episodes are stand alone. EDIT: Has anyone seen the old DB live action movie?
