This scenario is pretty good:

(Trunks encounters Tapion)

Tapion: Kid, finish me off before the monster comes back!

Trunks: But, I can't do it!

(Androids arrive)

#17: Who's that weirdo?

#18: I dunno. The first to nuke him gets ten extra points!

#17: Wait a sec! You got a head start!

Tapion: AAHHHHH!!!

(Android #18 vaporized Tapion with a beam, and Trunks could only hide and watch. The Androids left, and Trunks ran and picked up the sword left by Tapion)

Trunks: This'll be the key to destroying the Androids!

(The End)

Except that Trunks forged the sword himself...as alluded to in the manga.

Oh, I agree with that completely. But, did he allude to this in the manga? I can't remember?

Well, Vegeta's already dead, so he didn't forge the sword for him. Gohan died 13 years later and he never gave Trunks a sword nor mentioned one in existence. His mom, Bulma, could have but it seems too unorhordox for her taste in making something so barbaric. I'm sure Trunks made it himself soley for the Cyborgs.

Yea...But Evil Vegeta, thats way too early in time for that to even happen, it would throw the entire timeline off...Who knows what would happen if that flow of time was interrupted like that.

Oh, that's what you meant. I agree, there would be no other way for him to have the sword unless he created. I thought you meant he said something about it or something. But, yeah, I see what ya saying.

I know. I just wanted to give some kind of scenario, but that would be virtually impossible. That can't take place, because the dragon balls are gone.

Yep. Trunks would have to go into the future, and he would have to chose a different timeline.

Although Tapion was my favorite swordsman, The Z Sword was legendary.
It's hard to choose between the two.
I used to have a sword very similar to Janemba's, with the lack of ki manipulation, ha.

I choose Tapion/~~Trunks~~.
