An Immortal Cell?

Yet another "What If" scenario, but one that needs to be in here considering anime filler and movies are legible. This question was posed to me by a person posting on my Youtube page.

What if Gero had collected some of Garlic Jr's cells and incorporated them into Cell? Would Cell have been in some way immortal?

Should be. If Goku's cells somehow know how to perform a Spirit Bomb, I don't see why Cell wouldn't be as immortal as Garlic Jr.

Use the Evil Containment Wave. Same thing they should have done to Buu. It ignores power level.

I don't think immortallity can be taken from a blood sample. It's something that's granted on one person alone as a gift. The only one that could give such supernatural ability is Shenron.

I think this is a first Broly, but I agree with you 100%. Cell would have to use the Dragon Ball's to attain immortallity.

Why couldn't it carry over? It isn't like the Kamehameha is genetic, either, but Cell has it. He has everything that was "bestowed upon" all the fighters in his makeup, not just their genetics.

How could it carry over? It isn't like the Kamehameha Wave or any other technique which takes time to learn. And that's the difference. You can't learn how to achieve immortallity, whther it be by practice or science, it can only be given because it's past the bounds of our universe.

I don't think he would've attained it by Cell samples only. I think this is just one of those instances where it wouldnt' work like that. He would just learn Garlic Jr's techniques, and nothing more, in my opinion.

I would think so, but seeing as how he is an organic Android, I believed his body is still able to deteriorate over time.

Cell wouldn't be able to take Garlic Jr's Immortality if he acquired his cells, in my opinion. Unless Garlic Jr was affected on a genetic level, it wouldn't be possible; obviously.
