Well I wouldn't know about that.

Look at Garlic Jr in some of the filler and I think the movie. He regenerates. If that's not immortality affecting him on a cellular level I don't know what is. It's quite possible Cell could get this ability from Garlic, even though he can regenerate already.

Question: is Garlic immortal to physical attacks too, or can he be destroyed in the same way as Buu or Cell?

Well it's only genetic if your granted Immortality. So it really doesn't make much sense that Cell would inherit Garlic Jr's Immortality.

You also can't get all the fighters' skills through genetics, but people swear that it's okay to break the rules for those, but not for immortality.

Cell "shouldn't" have ANYTHING from his components other than their biological attributes. Meaning, the Saiyan zenkai factor and the Namek regeneration.

Now thats like Cell having youth because of Piccolo's cells which was from King Piccolo (his farther). I doubt he would be able to have the genes of immortality.

Though think about it...
-Garlic Junior wished for immortality, because he wasn't immortal in body.
-The Eternal Dragon: Shenron made Garlic immortal, would his body change to suit its ever living abilities. Would it continue to slow down, age, grow weaker or would it adapt to suit these things.
-If the answer is yes, if Dr Gero did manage to get some cells from Garlic Junior and they had adapted to suit its new immortal eternal life: Cell would be Immortal too.

Yea I'm willing to bet Dr. Gero's lil bug did more than gather Cell's for Cell. I bet he studied the attacks from the people he attained Cell's from...yet poses a problem with frieza sinse he never saw frieza's energy disc's.

But Cell was organic which means he would eventually die at somepoint, but it probaly would take quite sometime with the sayian Cell's in him.

Yep Cell wouldn't be immortal but would have a very long life, he would destroy all the plantes....every single one, the probaly try to blow himself up again from being so bored from life of the living.

BTW Piccolo was born in 261 A.D. and was still alive until 784 A.D. thats 723 years if I'm correct. Information posted from the main MFG website.

idk I saw a few things on the main site that really wasn't that accurate, but it's a great place to start, however I would go with it.

Yea with the namekian genes then with the sayian genes, then with frieza's ability to survive in space. and kakarrot's Instant Movement Technique, he is one badass.

So really Immortality wouldn't be needed, he would grow bored with the living before he died to begin with.

Meh I dunno. Megalomaniacs like Cell love Immortality. I dunno why Cell never went after the Dragonballs. Pretty much everyone else did.

Hmmm...

Freeza = arrogance.

Freeza = thinks he's the most powerful.

Cell = includes Freeza's cells.

Makes sense that Cell would at least think about it. Maybe he didn't know about them.
