I don't think he was supposed to look like that, as Vegeta changed. He was drawn so differently, he grew in height and cut his hair. Though anywhere I blame the drawings of the new Dragonball series. Why would they be cheap and just give him the Future Trunks personality...? He may have done better if he remained a tough trash-talker (not really). It doesn't make sense how that turned out.

I hate how they made Trunks in GT. I mean, Kid Trunks always wanted to be strong like his father, and whats the most, he wanted to be a fighter. Now, in GT he is a weakling (thank god he hasn't forgotten how to fly) and the owner of the Capsule company.
I mean, I just don't get why he stopped training. I know it was peace time but c'mon!

Yea I agree with you 100%. Toei should have made Gay Trunks , the same as future trunks, with the will of his father without being the owner of Capsule Corp.

You guys are forgetting that Trunks was already the same as he is in DBGT at the end of DBZ.

That means nothing...Toei is well known for placing bolts around the aura of saiyans when their only just super saiyan and not super saiyan 2.

I mentioned in the strength of Dabra thread that Goku didn't have lightning while fighting Yakon [When it was explicitly stated he was "beyond the super saiyajin", meaning SSJ2] and they said "Yeah, well...he was only SSJ2 for an instant and then powered-down!1!!1".

They'll find a way out of anything.

Then how come in the filler Tournament kakarrot goes only super saiyan and yet there is lightning around him...It's the same with GT trunks Toei is well known for putting lighting on people when it's not suppose to be there...and besides if he was super saiyan 2 he would be when he attacks Super Oozaru Bebi Vegeta, would he not?

When Baby is inside someone it increases their strength. Since this was the case I think he briefly went SSJ2, cause the same thing happened with Gohan an Goten when they attacked Goku and Pan when they were possessed by Baby. I didn't see lightning around any SSJ in GT, except Trunks, Gohan and Goten when they were possessed by Baby cause of the apparent power increase to SSJ2.
