The only thing that could put him away was his own dumb creation - how predictable is that? I don't even count Bio Broly. That movie was shit and he wasn't even himself. A saga would've been the answer to all our complaints. Seeing him at his best would also leave out all the questions people have about his strength and the fighting sequences leading up to that would make it alot more exciting rather than his movies that went downhill.

Also, his personality should be more obvious in the first movie. Hes a psychotic bloodthirsty sadistic killing machine with plenty of wit to go with it. Even in Second Coming, he had a good line to accentuate that towards the end.

I believe that was his only line in that movie and it was less than mediocre. Three movies are more than enough for Broly. The first movie was decent (despite a crap ending), the second one was okay as well (but with a good ending) and well th third one was crap. Having said that I still find Broly to be one of the shittiest characters in the entire series.

I'll be completely straight. I am a Broly fan, in a sense, but i'm a fan of what I believe Broly to be. I look at Broly in a light to what I believe he actually is. While it appears often that I am hating on Broly, I am in a sense, but I hate on any character that is overrated: Goku, Broly etc. Goku is different because he was overrated by the manga and animes themselves, but aside from that... if Broly or any other character is overrated drastically seperate to what the anime or manga displays then I appear hating. By coincidence, this just happens to be Broly most of the time. So don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Broly but i'm a fan for what he is, not what he isn't.

Broly is what he is, a violent, rampaging, Ssj parody of the Hulk character. Hey, it works well, very well, it made Broly very popular... there's no denying that. But that IS who Broly is. Broly is to be hated: he's bitter from his childhood like a sore loser, and after his defeat he decides to pick on little kids and schoolgirls. Hey, that's Broly, the character we love to hate. I like him for that, a messed up brutal and ruthless, mindless villian. A movie character. Although I like this character, what there is of it, I just know it's not right for a whole saga, in many ways it could butcher his status of the "movie character" that people love so much.

Technically i'm a sort-of" Broly fan, but I don't refer to him as legend, power, mad, greatness, holiness etc. I agree he is an unoriginal, over-hyped, overrated, brainless character. That's who he is, the villian you love to hate, that IS Broly's character, that's what I like about him, and only that. I'm a unique fan.
