Vegito has been confirmed to be the strongest character of all of DBZ. Besides Broly is at best Cell's Power level where as Base Vegito(i could use filler stuff since this is noncanon) slaughtered super buu.

SS Vegito > Base Vegito > Super Buu(gohan absorbed) > Perfect Cell surpressed >/= Broly

Actually no, since Toriyama-sensei would be writing it, Gohan would be unable to transform into any Ssj form, but would still be stronger than anything that Gokuu could achieve.

Broly is nowhere NEAR Cell's pitiful powerlevel, plus Vegito was confirmed to be the strongest in the t.v show. Remeber the movies are non-canon so their NOT included in the PL that shows strongest in the series.

why?Because of the old kai thing?It was never comfirmed that he can't go SS anymore.He went "Mystic" when he "became a SS and believed" after the Old kai power up, they didn't say what would've happened if he went SS2 and believed.

Here's an idea: I happen to like Mirai Trunks a lot as a character complex. Does this make him the most powerful hero in Dragonball? No. Muten Roshi's power doesn't surpass an empyrean, omnipotent level (even if that isn't a reflection of his full capacity), and strip him of the ability to channel his chi and thus the Kamehameha with his bodily chi, and you just have a vulgar old man. A conundrum. Just because he's seems powerful, once was, and doesn't always look thin doesn't instantly make him the most powerful.

That aside, get back on-topic and keep on-topic, everyone. If you're of the impression that Broli is the strongest, that's...great. But don't wantonly undermine the original topic of discussion in every thread with that. Back to... GT.

What you see in the beginning of movie 8 is not an instantaneous destruction of a galaxy as you are lead to believe, but a time lapsed viewing of the destruction that Burori caused throughout the Southern Galaxy over a span of quite awhile (Burori was destroying parts of the Southern Galaxy during the flashbacks in movie 8, so that automatically disproves that he destroyed the galaxy in one go).

Thirdly, New Bejiita is a planet in the Southern Galaxy, not only is it unscathed (most likely due to Paragus's insistence), but as far as we can see, there's nothing to suggest that anything is wrong with it at all (apart from Kumolre being in its orbital path). If Burori had destroyed the galaxy, save for Bejiita's solar system, then the solar system would fall apart anyway, as the lack of gravitational forces exerted on the solar system from other stars and general lack of movement would destroy it.

Gohan's Super Saiya-jin form doesn't just come in Full Power Ssj form. The term Full Power Ssj implies just that, the Ssj form's full power, but if the Saiya-jin holds back even 0.01% of his power, then that automatically discounts him from being Full Power Ssj. The more correct term for the form that Gokuu and Gohan reached is Mastered Ssj, as they have reached an understanding of the Super Saiya-jin form to the point that they can remain in the form for as long as they wish and not grow fatigued, and they can use ki that would have normally been wasted away in transforming for the sake of fighting instead.

Because it was quite clearly stated by Rou Dai Kaioushin-sama that his ability would bring Gohan beyond his natural limits, meaning beyond his maximum natural potential for power. The Super Saiya-jin forms tap into the Saiya-jin's potential for power that they cannot, or at least have yet to, reach in their base forms. What Rou Dai Kaioushin-sama did was he released all that hidden potential and then magically added more to it, so there would be no hidden potential remaining for any Ssj form to release.
