ok...here is my question...when trunks told everyone about the androids and gokus disease, etc, the future...well...is buu a part of that change of events that happened in the series? did trunks actually cause babidi to find buu and ressurect him? if so, what happend to trunks in the future O_o? even this was gunna happen no matter what...its just a thought

Trunks going back to the past set a chain reaction for the events in the future. So yes, Buu is apart of that change that occured.

In the present timeline, the Buu Saga takes place when Trunks is 8 years old. Mirai Trunks was 14 years old when Mirai Gohan was killed. This means that Trunks and Gohan should have already encountered Majin Buu had Buu existed in that timeline. However, this doesn't happen. Buu simply does not exist in the future timeline and it had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Trunks went back in time.

Well if Mirai Trunks hadn't had traveled back in time, the androids would have taken over. So why wouldn't it?

If you went back 5 minutes from now and changed something. That could would have had an effect on the future.

The androids already took over before Trunks went back in time. Also, it was stated that if Trunks went back in time and destroyed the androids before they were activated, the androids that already exist in his timeline would not be affected. The conclusion - the timelines aren't related to each other.

In any case, what does all this have to do with the Buu Saga?

the Buu saga would happen anyway. and if Gohan and Trunks already encountered buu, then they woulld've died. Buu is stronger than FPSs2. trunks could barely hold on to SS when he was 14. So Gohan would've goten the Mystic power up and defat Buu. But the andriods killed Gohan. So if Bu already existed in trunk's time line , there would be a big plot hole!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My theory is the Buu saga would have taken place anyway, other wise big plot hole.

all that was is just a huge plot hole. when akira toriyama was writing the android saga, he didnt intend for going past that and making the buu saga. so it was just arthur mistake

Actually he did, because Gohan was suppose to be the main character in the buu saga and defeat Super Buu, but out of nowhere all the goku fanboys want goku to come back, so Akira has to pull out a final villian which is Kid Buu.

but here what I think

i think that when the andriods were blowing up the city they might of destroyed majin buu ball along with it..or they might of found babidi and they killed him..anything is possible..and since they don't explain what happen to majin buu in Future trunks timeline there is no right or wrong answer

What I don't understand is that since Trunks went into the future from how time was altered around again... I would have expected him to encouter Majin Buu or be in the GT timeline, which makes a lot more sense, because he went back to when he had grewed up...so... I expect that he would have fought Android Super 17 and not Android 17 and 18. But ohh well... Trunks going back to future is just filler and bad filler I might add...

well..maybe in goku's present time he wasn't suppose to fight majin buu..but according to future trunks..trunks changed the past time line aswell..

You are forgetting though... only events that happened after Future Trunks had arrived were changed... prior events like Dabura scouting all life on the Earth and Majin Buu's existence wouldn't have been altered...

And you can't go back to your own timeline... it goes against the basic principles of time travel... you would have to go to a dimension where things hadn't change to do so.. and time machines only travel in two directions, backwards and fowards.. it is not told about in manga nor the anime that it had the ability of a dimensional gate... I think the reason why Future Trunks didn't encounter Majin Buu is for the same reason that Kaioken was never used again or that of why Gohan's focus as the main character was swapped to Goku.
