Depends on which series you're talking about, if you're talking about the japanese series, then yes it is depressing, but if you're talking about the english, well that was just a bit stupid that they took out that theme of Dan Dan, but meh.

I thought both were a little depressing.....but that was probably mostly due to the fact that it was the last episode and I was already extremly sad and depressed....but I think the jappenese version was a little bit more depressing.

dbgt had the same 1 or 2 music themes the whole series...thats one reason i didnt like it...(maybe there were more but not that i can remember)

actually it was depressing and also sad...sad not because the series is ended..because the song it self seems to make someone get a sad feeling or a depressing feeling..but non the less this song is my favourite song in the whole dragonball series..

That was a slow version of Dan Dan, I don't see how a slow version of Dan Dan makes the scene happier. By all means it makes the scene sadder really, where as in the english version they have that sad rock music, that's nowhere near as creative as a slow Dan Dan or hell even a sad Orchestral would be better than that.
