I don't think it's stated anywhere that you have to be a Full Saiyajin in order to go SSJ4. That's the same false mentality that some people have with SSJ3.

trunks were almost hit by that laser beam that bulma made..if he were to turn into an golden oozaru i doubt he would control it and vegeta or goku will probably cut his tail for him to turn normal...

anyway it would of been better if they called it super oozaru but as i said before people probably will not like the name and they want the super sayin name back

I agree with Future Trunks. We all more use to super being used in Dragonball than Golden, Super Namek, Super Saiyan, Super Buu, Super Vegeta, Super Vegetto, it just makes sense to call it Super Oozarro.

Oozaru Saiyan or Super Oozaru would fit perfectly, I don't know why they called it SSJ4, and although they did produce the golden aura there, that still doesn't change the fact that you need a tail in order to go through the transformation. It makes more sense to call it an advanced form of Oozaru rather than Super Saiyan 4, I mean come on they have enough Super Saiyan transformations as it is, in my opinion three should really be the limit.

well when the saiyans came to earth to find goku and found he didnt have a tail all of them said the same thing...somethin about he lost the source of his power because of his tail missing...maybe to unlock the saiyans true potential u need a tail and since ssj4 is the highest level it only makes sense that the tail is present

That's besides the point. You need the tail to transform into Golden Oozaru, then to transform into SSJ4. What's the point of calling it SSJ4? None of the other transformations needed a tail, so why should SSJ4? It makes better sense to call it Super Oozaru or something like that, a lot better than Super Saiyan 4.

plus the fact that Golden Oozaru is possible after reaching SSj, which like i said leads to the point that an SSj with a tail could reach SSj4 easier then say SSj2 or 3

You're right. I think it's crazy. It took such a drastic turn in the ssj look. But remember, Akira Toriyama didn't make GT like he did DB and DBZ. So, I look at that too. But I think if you have a tail and can go SSJ, you turn Golden Oozaru. That's what I thought. But I can't really say for certain what's up with SSJ 4.

True. But look at Vegeta when he went Oozaru in GT. Unlike Goku, his fur didn't turn blonde immediately after the transforrmation. So I would say that looking at the full Earth, does or helps you to become a Golden Oozaru. (You may now, poke and make fun of my theory. )

But couldn't you call SSJ4 like, Oozaru level 3 or something?

Also i never thought that Toriyama made the SSj4 design or anything, but i do know he had a little imput into certain design elements in the show, just not sure what

thats also a good point...boy i really forgot some details about GT ...

since ssj4 is the last form of a ssj then shouldn't be ok to look like an oozaru..

you guys remember from Z when vegeta was talking about the lssj and they showed an oozaru..most likely a golden oozaru but i don't remember clearly..

so maybe ssj4 should actually be called lssj instead of ssj4 thus makeing it the last ssj form...but why would they call it ssj4...maybe because there is another level beyond ssj4 like the one gogeta appeared in with the red hair..

Like for instance Akira's yellow fur was changed to red. And the hair was changed back to black. And in addition, I think Akira had designed Goku SSJ4 to have red eyes or light redish. But I think it was a little too alien, so Toei, being the lazy bunch of opium addicted assholes that they are, swapped SSJ4 Goku's fur and eye color. And completely darken in Goku's hair. But you can obviously tell that SSJ4 Vegeta's design is completely that of Toei's off of normal Vegeta and SSJ4 Goku.
