Goten and trunks

In the shadow Dragons, goten stated it's posible to fuse as two ss4's because him and Trunks fused as two s3's. If goten/Trunks could become S3 when they fused into Gotenks, Why didn't they just turn S3 when the fussion ended??? That would would have been eaiser to fight Buu like that, of course the transformatiiion wil only hold for ten minutes cause Goten doesn't know how to control energy. But if Goten could control the s3 form, He would still lose to Buu cause Goku could hold ss3 for 30 minutes and Fat Buu even gave him problems. But If Goten and trunks would've became Ss3 in the super 17 saga and fuse into s3 Gotenks that power would equall to a SS6!!!!!!! And they would eaisly kill Super 17.

well.. i think both goten and trunks need to become ssj3 first then they could of taken S17 but those don't train so you might aswell to forget it

Goten and Trunks were NOT SS3 as individuals at any point - that was either a mistranslation or another GT plothole.

watch DBGT: Super saiyain four fusion. Goten said that they could. Maybe they were too lazy to acheive ss3 because Goku ends up doing everything.???

Dude, I have the DVD with that episode, i have watched it many number of times, and I'm telling you, they just screwed up the context of their statement. They were never shown to be SS3 in DBZ at any point, and one little misuse of grammar can't change that.

Goten and Trunks never became SSJ3 individually at any point of all the sagas in DBZ or GT. For one thing, they never trained enough cuz they were too busy with other things (Goten just screwin' around with the girls while Trunks was busy running Capsule Corp and also messin' around). And since it was a time of peace, they thought training wasn't really necessary. If they had the same fighting spirit as Goku, they prolly would have reached SSJ3.
