Vegeta was a Super Saiyan 4 when they fused. But he couldn't anyway, because he was sshorter.

I bet TOEI was stupid enough to believe Vegeta can really fuse into Goku to become Gogeta. The problem is when Goku mentioned that you need to have the almost exact height and power level in order to achieve that. But, when TOEI came along, they didn't bother to look over Goku's words and thought that Vegeta will go just as right with him. As far as they should know, Vegeta is not tall enough to reach Goku's height to become Gogeta!

Well, actually, Goku fusing with Vegeta via Fusion Dance isn't at all farfetched. When Goku and Vegeta were inside Buu, Goku was counting on fusing with Vegeta by means of the Fusion Dance since the Potaras were broken. Also, when Goku learns that Vegeta and Gohan were dead (well, Gohan wasn't really dead as we all know), Goku says that he could've done a fusion with either of them. So it is true that Vegeta and Goku can fuse by Fusion Dance.

What did TOEI mess up in DBGT:

1) 17 fusing with Hell 17 and becoming Super 17...

2) How they killed Omega Shenron.

3) Goku becoming kid.

4) Goku pwning everybody.

5) Everyone are weaker, and again, Goku gets all the fame.

6) Thinking that they can make a Dragonball series without AT's help.(But in the end he came and helped them no to get a complete flame)

Yup, that pretty much closes it all up.

Another thing is that SSJ4 Gogeta has red hair, when both Vegeta (whom has a very dark brown) and Goku (plain jet black) fuse into one being at the SSJ4 level.

No he has dark brown hair, not black. He doesn't even say black in the Japanese context.

Well actually they all had like a rainbow of different hair colors and if you look at Vegetto, you see he has dark brown hair.

It is quite funny, because they made Vegeta have red hair and they made the original saiyan people have a wide variety of hair, and what is funny is that Vegeta, Raditz, and Nappa had became teammates after Planet Vegeta was destroyed, yet in one of the first episodes you see them leaving with a whole bunch of saiyans that mix around with a full rainbow set of colors saying farewell to them.

i would say vegetto has black hair... but then again fusions might be an acception

In the manga it was stated that all PURE-BLOODED saiyans had black hair. The anime ruined their hair colors. They made Vegeta have brown hair, they made bulma's hair blue/green,etc.

Vegeta has black hair. In every manga translation I've seen, Vegeta's says that all Full Saiyajins have black hair. You are only fooling yourself.
