The best way to give the Portra earrings to would be Gohan and Goku instead Goku with Vegeta. If they would have fused into Gohaku, they would have had a better chance against Super Buu.

Anyways, the portra earring fusion would have done very nicely for Goku and Gohan, should they have been announced about what the earrings are truly capable of doing earlier before Piccolo and Gotenks would have been assimluated into Super Buu.

Of course Gohan would be stronger in that period, if he trained at Ssj2. But as Duo said his Mystic Transformation was the highest he could ever go, with or without training.

Still, this question concerns me a lot: Is there a possibly that the Portra Earrings are actually more powerful than the Fusion Dance? If so, the earrings could have made Vegetto more than he was when up against Super Buu.

And yet, for some reason, I found out Gogeta was way better than Vegetto himself. Don't pin this one on me, I found that out when I was looking at a site with the power levels. The result was that Gogeta had a higher level than Vegetto.

Um, Ss4 Goku is not stronger than veggito,. ss4 Goku at his Most Strongest mode might be equal only to Base Veggito. Otherwise, Super Veggito is stronger than Ss4 Goku and ss4 vegeta. i don't even think ss4 can beat super Buu Gotenks. if Gohan was Mysttic in Gt, he would PWN everybody except super 17 and omega shrenlong. Super 17 would give Gohan trouble, but Gohan would figue out how to injure 17's arbsorbing system. And Gohan could fuse with majUub to beat Omega Shrenlong using the portra earrings cause the transformation could last forever.

Mystic Saiyan - This form is achieved by Gohan after his power up from Old Kai. During this state his power is fully maximized. So much so that he does not need to ever go Super Saiyan to increase his power. It looks exactly the same as his normal state, as you can see from the picture. If the Old Kai had finished the power up Gohan would have been stronger than SSJ3 Goku, but he never finishes because he is too lazy.
