No its not really as hard as you think it is.

Gohan isn't a saiyan (he's a half saiyan) so the properties of SSJ2 for him must be vastely superior.

As it has been proven that Future Trunks is actually pretty weak when he isn't a super saiyan.

Goku's Base > Gohan's Base

Goku at SSJ < Gohan at SSJ

Gohan only needs probably one year in the hyperbolic time chamber to surpass SSJ3 Goku, and that is the truth. If it was only right after his fight with Cell.

Although I say since SSJ2 Gohan and SSJ3 Goku showed the same exact performance of power through the demonstration of their fighting strengths. So I'd say they are the same.

SS2 Goku, in his fight with Majin Vegeta, was stated to have Surpassed SS2 Gohan from the Cell Games.

Gohan already surrpased everybody when he turned mystic. If Gohan kept training in the seven years, he would've surrpased his mystic power and when Super buu absorbs Gotenks and pIccolo, gohan would've became Mystic two due to the intense training he did in the Saiyan pod that Vegeta trAined with but use 1000 X Earth's gravity. Thorefore Mystic gohan two would defeat Super Buu Gotenks and Veggito would have never been born. You happy?? The wrold gets no Veggeto because of this. AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!

Mystic isn't a transformation so he can't achieve it by training. The rest no comment.

Now for the topic Gohan would have to train under strainous conditions to become stronger and he isn't one to train with gravity enhancments. Out of the two of them Goku trains better and gets more accomblished in six days, he went from over 8,000 to 90,000. The main reason Gohan was stronger than Goku was that he had a sparring partner that was close to his strength. Goku being dead doesn't need to sleep or eat making impossible to have equal training time. So even if Gohan trained I don't even think he would be able to beat Goku when they both are SSj2s.

One Problem with your theory, if Gohan was very focused with his training he would be sparring up with Vegeta, both would be training at 102000 times earth gravity (after all the zenkais that went by) by the time Goku came back 7 years later. Vegeta probably would indeed by at Full Power Super Saiyan 3 by that time and Gohan would be so powerful as an SSJ2 there wouldn't anything that could challenge him, not even Vegeta.

i dnt think cause as u kno goku was training with kais and learned fusion on the way and achieved supersayain 3 so gohan would nvr be stronger than goku

If Gohan would have continued training, he wouldn't of had to become mystic, because he would've destroyed Majin Buu before he was able to spawn. Hell, he might've not ever be drained of his power. Gohan would definitely be stronger.

And whose to say Gohan wouldn't elevate to a next level with all of his training? After all, he was leagues ahead of Goku in the Cell saga.

If Gohan took in anymore power at the level of "Mystic" his body would be incapable of holding it. There is no "Mystic 2" or "Super Saiyan Mystic".

i think this topic has already been done and mystic gohan would always be stronger than any unfused character. didn't they make goku stronger in gt to satisfy all the goku-lovers
