I don't think Bardock was evil as much as he and the rest of the Saiyan people were misguided... they worked for Frieza who in my opinion was the real bastard here. If they wouldn't have done what Frieza wanted, Frieza would have just killed them all that much sooner. Plus, they were a warrier race...fighting, which would usually result in the death of somebody, is all they knew and I doubt that the average Saiyan had much as far as an education goes. Except for Vegeta. He killed, in my opinion, for the pure pleasure of it. I think in Vegeta's head, that by being able to conquer other planets and people, was proof to himself, that he was the best.
But besides that, I think the real reason that Goku never encountered Bardock in the afterlife is not whether Bardock was a cloud or whatever as much as the fact Bardock was one of the movie characters and was never in the actual series. Many of the movies do not really fit into the series. You can get a general time frame of when the movie is taking place because of who is in the movie and by the length of their hair or how they look, but that's about it. |

As far as the other special goes (History of Trunks), 50% of it is non-canon.

The last time you'll ever see Bardock again is in those visions Goku had exprienced while Frieza was trying to keep him under water. Plus, if you still want to see how Bardock did well as a Saiyan Elite Warrior before Frieza launched a deadly powerful energy ball that not only swallowed up Bardock and what's left of his Saiyan forces, but the Planet Vegeta itself in the movie of the history of the Saiyans.

Bardock didn't come back cause Gt sux. Bardock tried to save the Saiyain race from frezer's blast. and anyway, Bardock was just folwing oders given by his top comanders of the saiyan race.

if you go by DBZ logic, Bardock sacrificed him self for someone else (to save his planet) there-fore, just as Gokuh has sacrificed himself to save his planet, he should have been in Heaven.
