when it takes place

Alright on some of the movies its impossible for it to take place sometimes in the saga. Like coolers revenge is on earth after goku killed freiza so during the fight wouldnt sstrunks jump in. Also the jenemba movie when is that in the middle of the buu saga because vegeta and goku have halos and goku is ss3. If there in the middle of buu going around doing stuff vegeta and goku would be fighting janemba?????Also when janemba is released all the dead from hell comes out like freiza,cooler,etc...............

The movies take place in their own time zones, and so cannot be put into the regular timeline without at least one major plot-hole.

They do however reflect the power and times of certain sagas, like Coolers Revenge happening after Goku beats Freeza.

Best not to take them to seriously, and just enjoy them ^^

When trying to put movies into a timeline, you cannot take little things into account, you hafta make it where it'd just fit in best. Such as Movie 6, Gohan cannot go SSJ & he is small, yet Dende is guardian, though Debde is guardian, the movie most likely takes place during the 3 years of Android training.

Not really. At best, you've probably got movie 9 (perhaps a year after the Cell Game) and movie 13 (which could be during the 10 years between Buu and the end of DBZ. The others all have various problems:

1 - Nobody knows who Gohan is here, yet they *also* haven't seen him before when they first meet him in the TV series -- a conflict right there.

2 - Goku knows the Kaiou-ken and wears the "Kaiou" gi, yet Piccolo is still alive and everyone's on Earth.

3 - Goku wears his "go" gi, and Yamcha has a "kaiou" gi, yet everyone is *still* on Earth and everything's fine.

4 - Everybody's on Earth and the others are alive, yet Goku can't even go SSJ

5 - Takes place after Freeza is defeated, yet either Goku should still be missing, or they should all be training to fight the jinzouningen.

6 - Dende is already the God of Earth, yet Gohan is still 9-ish years old (not 10 or 11). That's a contradiction in itself.

7 - After the defeat of the other Jinzouningen, yet Goku is still alive. Or alternatively, why is everyone going about relaxing while Cell is doing his thing (and why is Gohan still so young?!)?

8 - Taking *another* break from the Cell game to just relax, apparently. And Gohan is still too young.

9 - Could take place *after* the Cell game (as we see that Trunks was preparing to go back in time to tell everyone he'd defeated the jinzouningen in his own timeline, just before he kills Cell), although the length of Trunks's hair is something of a mystery. He'd have to have been there for a while.

10 - Goku is dead, and it features Goten, Trunks, and Videl. Theoretically it could work (as Gohan trains Videl for the Budokai) but the presence of Broli throws things off.

11 - Aside from the fact that it features #18, Goten, Trunks, and Satan (what a combination >_>), it seems to take place *after* the Budokai that 18 "lost" to Mr. Satan. So why isn't Buu killing everyone? And why aren't these two training as Gotenks?

12 - Vegeta and Goku are both dead, which places it firmly in the middle of the Buu arc. Yet Buu is nowhere to be found and everything is happy-go-lucky on Earth. Until the dead start walking among them, anyway.

13 - Could happen after the Buu arc with no real problems (although Videl was only Great Saiyaman mk.II in the anime).

Movie one could fit before the raditz saga.

Movei two and three could take place before the saiyans came, but goku's there. so it would be mesed up. can't take place anywhere.

four: Before Namek???? Yes it could. but Piccolo is there. so nope.

movie five: This Can work. It's after freezer saga, and after Trunk's leave.

Movie six: why isn't Gohan not a SS???? And Dende is stil there and Piccolo is weaker than the ss. Didn't they get dende to be gaurdian because kami fused with picolo????? Or Goku and Vegeta fought MC as Ul;tra Saiyans???????? and Gohan was too lazy to go SS????/ Yep, vegeta and goku were fighting MC as Ultra Super Saiyans.

movie 7: Could work.. 13, 14 and 15 were to cause a distraction for gero to realease the real andriods 17 and 18. Before Cell?????

movie eight: Before cell games. Gohan was FP SS and so was Goku. Could work.

Movie ten: It is before the buu saga, took place in the seven years.
movie 11: same but with Trunks, goten, Satan and 18.

movie 12: It could only be after the Kid buu saga, but Pikon and Goku at the begining kinda screws everything

movie 13#: could work after the kid buu saga.
