Goku has been training for quite some time, even if Cooler was stronger than Frieza, it wouldn't show any bit of a difference, plus Cooler and Frieza probably use the same fighting style that Goku was accustomed to and as of such Goku could easily counter and predict Cooler's moves. I think the two were quite equal. + Goku was using Kaioken, probably Kaioken x 20.

Well there is no point in training on a level that no one would put up a good fight at, so he had to spar off against Piccolo and Gohan in his base level.

Yes but you forgot that by that time, Piccolo was quite equal to the power of a super saiyan. So Goku probably did do some super saiyan fighting against Piccolo prior to fighting Android 19.

That isn't speculation that SSJ Goku and Piccolo must have done some training in order for Piccolo to be close to power to a super saiyan.

In the ONE shot shown of the 3 years of Training (in the Manga) Son Goku is a Super Saiyan fighting a young Gohan and Piccolo.

Here's something thats overlooked: Gohan still had his short hair in Movie 5, meaning no time had passed yet, meaning Son Goku shouldn't even have been on Earth...because they hadn't even wished anyone back yet!

Umm, he never even came to the Lookout until after Goku used Instant Transmission to get him from the new Namek. He was clearly at the Lookout in the movie.
