What if the Dragonball Z story had progressed using power levels that make sense.

Vegeta after recovering from the Ginyu Force would not be around 500,000 and more like 40,000. Frieza's power level would not skyrocket randomly to over a hundred million. Goku would not go from 90,000 to 3,000,000 in one zenkai. etc. What would happen?

We'd have a lot less power level arguing. And the 'Frieza and Goku were/weren't over the 100 millions' argument would never have surfaced.

I personally don't really care about power levels they can be used for some things but in all honesty even if they did make sense Akira would have to do many, calculations and his work would be alot less fun.

Some people enjoy doing calculations, so you can't say he wouldn't have fun doing it. Its not like its anything more than basic math.

True but I'd consider it annoying to have to consider calculation I don't know that's why I never liked to think about PLs too much in the fan-fics I write since I feel like I'm doing work if I do.

Scouters break at 530,000 mark ,and the visor can not fit one cajillion decimal places, by the time you read kid buu's powerlevel he would have bit your face off.

No because when were looking at the number 1,000,000 we could just use the signal:
1'6
- 1 with 6 zeros. Besides even if scouters would fail at lets say 700,000. It wouldn't stop AT from creating power levels.

saiyan digits do not use that kid of symbol, they only have real 0's they hadn't come uo with that concept :P other wise AT would have done it

Yeah, power levels need to be more consistent. As SSJ2 Vegeto said, Roshi, who's power level is at 120, blew up the moon. SSJ2 Majin Vegeta's Final Explosion, whose power level should be in the hundred billions (at least), only generated the force of a small atom bomb.

Well ki seems to be that it can be concentrate into a smaller radius, but the intensity can be much more powerful. So that blast by vegeta was worlds apart from roshi's in terms or concentrated pure force and intensity of energy, but the damage was less sever and of a smaller range than roshi's. Also keep in mind Piccolo's blast on 17 only destroyed an island, but would have killed freeza, and Tines neo kikoho, seems to have more energy than piccolo's, but seemed to not endanger earth either, because it was concentraded short forceful waves, not a piercing beam.
