Good question, if yes then he would have a better time reaching super saiyan 2, but even with that I doubt he could make that kind of jump.

If no, I believe that kind of jump would drain him or even kill him.

I mean, did Goku or Gohan ever tell him HOW to master the SS state? Because I doubt he'd learn it himself.

Well I'm not saying he didn't master the super saiyan form. It's possible that vageta didn't.

But even with that, I don't think he could survive that kind of jump in power.

Yeah, maybe. All I'm trying to say is that I'm pretty sure Vegeta didn't master the SS transformation. He may have mastered it but I don't see how he would know to master it. Goku was dead. Now, he's not gonna go to Gohan's house and ask him. I think Vegeta trained in solitude (with Bulma and Trunks only) in those peace years so I can't think of any way he'd know to master it.

True, that and he's very impatient, he wouldn't take that kind of time he would rather just go for super saiyan 2 instead of mastering super saiyan.

He's the most impatient character out of the entire series, so I can see what you mean.

Yes, thats a good point. Even if he knew, why would he want to master it instead of training hard to reach SS2 (a level he saw with his own eyes how someone achieved it)

Not just that, but the fact that it was just a mere child, someone that is atleast 3x younger than vegeta. You know that had to piss off vegeta big time, so he would spend as much time as possible to achieve that level and surpass it. But even if he would just achieve that level would have been enough b/c gohan is a lazy bastard.

Lol, yeah he is.
Also if I remember correctly (maybe it was filler) Vegeta left in a bad way from the Cell Games and I think he said something like "I'll never fight again" or "I'm sick of this". (seeing that he was left behind in terms of strength by both Goku and Gohan)
Though, its been a while since I watched the Cell Games episodes so I may be wrong.

If you mean the american then no, in the american he questions himself and nothing more, he doesn't say that. He also regrets kakarrots death b/c he can't prove himself to him.

But with seeing Gohan become a super saiyan 2, he would rather surpass gohan instead of giving up. Because he was the closest to kakarrots strength than before. Not counting saiyan saga.

Because when we first see vegeta as a super saiyan, as I remember he was more powerful than kakarrot, and more powerful than kakarrot when he came out of the rosat. So Vegeta was damn close, and I wouldn't think he would give up with showing at 2 points he out did kakarrot.

Of course, he'd want to surpass Gohan and I'm sure at some point he did (before Elder Kai unlock ability)

Yea. I believe vegeta attained super saiyan 2 prior babidi's mind control, and he was more powerful gohan was against cell, but still a good gap between him and kakarrot.

So I think in my own opinion him giving his mind over to babidi was worth what he considers the ultimate prize, and that was proving he has what it takes to defeat his greatest rival kakarrot one on one.
