Should there be another DragonBall series? - Page 2

I'm in empathy for Toriyama, because he wanted the series to end a multitude of times, and stated that if he was persuaded to continue past the Freeza saga, he would not try as hard to deliver a popular story, and it showed. I personally think the episode where Namek blows up and you see Goku screaming would have made a great ending to the series. No doubt.

well they did eventually kill off goku which led to the snake way / android saga. But he did come back, I think if dragon ball cannot live without goku then they should make a todaly different show that would be about the same in some ways. I Thought The kid gohon was awesome when he went super sayan, I think they need to make a show around him and not sayaman.

Personally, I think they should make another series, except basically erase all the charactersthat have been built up and start like hundreds of years later with only the memories of those characters left. That way there wouldn't be like uber big threats all the time and they could start out at the small stuff again.

I'm agree. I think that Toriyama could create a new series, set in the Dragon ball world, but in another time or in another galaxy! It would be fantastic a series about the history of saiyans or a continuation of the adventures of Mirai Trunks after the cyborgs' defeat!

VIDEL90 YOU READ MY MIND! That's what I think should be continued is future trunks' time line after cell and the androids defeat in his time. That way they could introduce some of the movie characters into the series the right way. Obviously TORIYAMA would have to do a manga version of that for it to make sence at all.

I think a spin-off of some sort would be appropriate, but not a continuation of the series. Just end it at Z and do a spinoff. I think that'd be best, don't you all?

I have always said that there is little face value to continuing a series GT already did a dejectingly good job at expanding, so much so that it ended up in destruction in full, even if it is non-canon. Something that is an instant classic doesn't mean it should be instantly continued in my eyes. TOEI should have left it alone or have given a shot at it that would have proven infinitely more accurate to the Manga. That the (hopefully debunkable, and hopefully a jocose prank of sorts) live action movie is reaching fruition leaves me with enough sadness for that emotion to be something infinitely more or worse, but continuing the series this far down the road, let alone at all, is quite a no-no.

I'd like one, if AT was involved. Maybe switch it up a bit, and go back to the time of Bardock's father, or use one of the alternate timelines, with Mirai (sp?) Trunks as the main character.

Lol. If they do a spin off, they shouldn't even go past Super Saiyan. All the other forms don't even make sense to me. They only make Goku/Vegeta/Gohan/etc. as strong as Frieza/Cell/Buu/etc.

About my spin-off idea, they could so a series about the beginning of the universe or something. How the evolution other Saiyans led to Frieza's ancestors watching them or whatever. It'd be interesting to see events connecting to what led to Dragonball. What do you think?

I would enjoy DBAF if and only if:

SSJ4 is the last SSJ level. Anything past 4, forget it.

Bruce Faulconer composes the music for the Funimation dub.

Akira Toriyama writes it. Of course, he isn't going to, so that's out of the question.

Since Akira Toriyama isn't writing it, get somebody who knows what they're doing.

Make Goku an adult again.

Raditz the Ruthless had a good idea. As for writers, they should have a committee so one moron doesn't ruin another series with "let's make them more powerfule!!!!1" Instead, take a Naruto type route and focus more on the different attacks, and such.
