...to Arrancar killed with a zanpakuto? Do they get purified and sent to Soul Society, sent to Hell or obliterated completely? I don't think it was ever mentioned or implied in the manga, but it might be an important element for the continuation of the story if it goes the way I hope it to go.

Probably sent to soul society or hell depending on the acts they committed in life. I doubt they're reincarnated since they still weren't completely pure from being hollow and are only part shinigami...or maybe Kubo just forgot about the whole thing and had them killed off. That brings up the question, what happens to a hollow when it's killed by another hollow?

Well since it is not being cleansed through the Shinigami methods, it would probably mean ultimate death as a (spirit?).

I don't know. There is the cycle of

............Hollow---->Shinigami----->Human
Human<
............Plus------>Shinigami----->Human

Seems like since the Arrancar have already been made into Shinigami of sorts, they'd skip that step and just turn to humans.
