Bleach needs to stay away from the "UBER RESOLVE BANKAI PROTECT EVERYONE HOLLOW MASK GETSUGA TENSHOU" theme. The main cast also needs to gtfo for a while and we get some emphasis on stuff happening elsewhere, like in Soul Society, exactly as the fillers are doing, only in a much less failful manner. Also the atmosphere needs to darken. The characters are in Hueco Mundo yet they're acting as if they're strolling around a park. Bleach needs to get angsty. More importantly, I think all of us can obviously see the neccessity for some demon Hollow rape.

Characters I would remove? Zomari. That guy was a disgrace to a great many things.

I honestly don't care much for anime versus topics, I also don't care if people like them, in the long run most of them are pretty retarded and the only good ones have already been done before. Just enjoy a series for what it is, instead of being "MY CHARACTER IS MUCH STRONGER THAN YOURS."

Currently watching: Code Geass [shit sux, mostly] and Xam'd: Lost Memories [Go watch this if you want an actual good anime this season, srsly.]

True, even Sado and Ishida have all those new techniques. Left arm of the devil for Sado and those five new weapons that Ishida keeps with him. (Seele Schneider?)
Heck, even Rukia has more techniques than Ichigo.

I dunno, since Ishida has got his powers back and has gotten some new techniques and weapons, he suddenly seems pretty cool to me.

And by the way, what's with all the Hitsugaya hate? He's not one of my top favorite characters but he's not THAT bad either. I also noticed he has so many fans in other forums.

Hitsugaya is, well... random. He is given a suitably decent background, as decent as most other secondary characters or even more, but that background is not only epically disproportionate, but also epically irrelevant to the amount of involvement he has in the plot, not to mention his absurdly large screentime. He is a character who, by all means, should not have taken that much of the spotlight in the story and the plot - there is nothing about his story, personality and interactions with more important characters that can justify this level of involvement.

The answer to this lies to the fact that he has such a large fanbase, mostly due to his bishonen design - you know, the white hair, the blue eyes, the supposedly serious and cool attitude, a huge-breasted woman always on top of him... - which is one of the common variations of the typical design for the "cool hero" character - a design we've been presented with time and time again, and those who are more immersed in the world of anime and manga have seen materialized a million times over. Therefore, while he is but an abused cliche for some of us, for the most part the fanbase loves him because for the most part the fans haven't had that much experience with the genre, thus have not yet encountered this design too painfully often.

However, a mangaka is supposed to make money, and to make money, he needs to sell his manga. And for his manga to sell, he needs to give the fan favorites the most screentime. So Hitsugaya got tossed in a position he is by no means fit to fill.

Therefore, I dislike him, and Shirogetsu hates him.

I thought it was kinda strange that there was so much "humorous' happenings in hueco mundo. I just didn't think that Nel & her group fit that area. I would have loved to see a darker more serious approach to to that area because the funny business could be done elsewhere & would fit better anywhere else. I also believe that ichigo should have another attack or two whether by his hollow power or not it would make his fights a little less stale. Although thundershock would be another attack; I would love to see bite while his mask is on. I just hope that if he gets a new attack that it's a pretty cool one
