How does Bleach get out of this one?

So, we've got a Randomman 3rd Division Captain, apparently. The Mod Souls and Arashi were bad enough. How does Bleach intend to fix this? He certainly can't stay, unless Tite is off his rocker. Suicide? Death? Resignation?

They already fucked up the main story by having the mod souls staying after the Bounto arc unless this captain dies this is going to be really shitty.

The biggest problem is the point at which they put the filler in. If it had been between the Arrancar and Hueco Mundo arcs than it would've been fine, but taking them out of Las Noches right after Grim's defeat? That's really going to mess with the main story line.

I'm sure I saw the opening of 168 say that they are diverting from the Hueco Mundo arc so it should start back up again where Ichigo and Orihime are about to leave to only be stopped by Noittra.
