Ukitake talks to Kaien about a new member that appears to be a young prodigy.
そしてギンが４様の前で５番隊３席を殺してるところまで
Then we are taken to a scene where Gin kills the 5th divisions current 3rd seat in front of Aizen.
"Gin is a Shinigami even though he's still young. He graduated from the academy in a year.

The young Byakuya is somehow a different character than the present day one."
Ukitake: His age... That's right, Captain Kuchiki's grandson Byakuya-kun is there, right?
Kaien: Ah, the arrogant one.
Ukitake: Right, right. Is he the same age? Although he seems slightly younger...

It seems that their seats are being prepared at the same time as their enlistment.

I hope it's not that kind of relationship. That would be weird. I mean, if it goes that way, Yourichi might as well be labeled as some kind of pedophilic offender. Ichigo, Soifon, and now Byakuya too? Can any underage soul escape her clutches? Actually it would make sense that way. Urahara gets exiled for his illegal sciences, and Yourichi gets a restraining order that forces her not to come within three miles of schools, parks, or daycares.

Continues from the last chapter, after Mayuri heard Urahara’s offer he rejected it. When Urahra asked for a reason, Mayuri said he’s satisfy with his life here. Then asked back why Urahara wanted him out of here.

“Because your powers are necessary.”

“Don’t lie, I can see through you.”

So Urahara said he wanted to buy Mayuri’s skills and this much is true. He said the reason he entered 12th Division was to establish something that never happen in Soul Society and that was Technology Institution. Mayuri asked if he was to be under Urahara’s command and he admitted.

“This isn’t so bad…be a second after me. If I died and everything would be just like how you imagine, right?” He smiled while saying it but his eyes were cold. And that made Hiyori saw a light of Urahara.

On Mayuri’s side after a while, he smirked and said, “Seriously you’re so annoying.”

A scene cut to the Kuchiki mension. Byakuya was training when his grand father entered the hall. He told him to stop traning because there was a guest to see him. Before Byakuya could ask he felt something soft behind his neck and his face changed.

He threw a sword back but then right in front of him was Yoruichi who was laughing at him.

“You’re out, you cat devil!”

“At least greet this cat devil! I’m here to play with you!”

“Shut up! When did I ever say I want to play with you? I am the next Kuchiki Head. Plays are unnecessary!” But the moment he finished the last word; Byakuya’s hair fell down and that angered him ever more.He threw a sword at her again but she jumped to the rooftop and was laughing. Then she yelled out how Byakuya lost so bad and disappeared. Byakuya was so mad then said she’ll learn it herself that his Shunpo is better than her. He rushed out and left his grand father sighed.

A scene cut to 13 Division Headquarter. Ukitake and Kaien were having tea and they were talking about Kaien’s promotion as a VC. Kaien refused and said there are others who deserve it more than him. They chatted a bit more when Ukitake told Kaien about a new boy who just entered Gotai 13. A boy was a genius who only took a year to graduate. He also said a boy must be the same age as Byakuya who..Kaien called “an arrogant one”. Ukitake continued that his division already about to him a seat which have amused at this new boy.

A scene cut and it was the night time. A body laid lifeless on the ground with a boy standing above him covered in blood.

“Excellent. Better than what they have said you about you.” Aizen complimented Gin and ask for his name which he replied. Aizen then asked how was their third seat which Gin just said it was nothing and was not a big deal.

“Really…” Aizen said, “That is the most important thing.”

Gin seemed really strong for his age in this chapter, but in SS he fought evenly with Hitsugaya. He could of been just playing with him or could Hitsugaya be... 0_o

I may not be clear, but didn't Hitsugaya use Bankai during their fight? Gin didn't even use his Shikai untill the very end.

EDIT: Nevermid, I just went back and re-read that fight. hitsugaya didn't use Bankai, but even so, it doesn't seem Gin was taking it seriously at all. He pretty much was smiling throughout the whole fight.

Hitsugaya pulled Shikai immediately (unlike the anime adaptation). Ichimaru tried to fight against Hitsugaya's Shikai unreleased, but Hitsugaya trapped his hand in a block of ice and went for the kill. Ichimaru released his zanpakuto from within his haori to pierce Hitsugaya's eye from point-blank, but Hitsugaya barely managed to avoid it. Ichimaru's extended blade sped towards the unconscious Hinamori, and Matsumoto stepped in to block it.

I'd say there's a small gap between Hitsugaya and Ichimaru during the Soul Society arc, with Ichimaru having the upper hand.

Actually, that fight made me think that the gap between the two is very wide.

The whole time it felt like Gin was toying with Hitsugaya; dodging the entire time with the exception of the swing he did. Not intentionally fighting against him.

As for when Gin released Shinso, it seemed like he had already plotted for Hitsugaya to be right there, hence why he warned if he wanted to dodge the blade.
