This was mostly anime filler. In the manga, Hitsugaya immediately released and trapped Ichimaru.

Very good chapter, I must say. Gin's introduction was actually really good (I didn't read the spoilers so I didn't know who it could be, thought it could've been Ishin).

On another note, it definitely looks like they're going to go back in numbers until they hit 0, and then conclude Bleach.

I don't know that they can honestly fill 100 more chapters with relevant flashback material, so I doubt that. Half of the mysteries have been answered already.

Well, I can see them filling at least another 15 chapters of Ishin's introduction as a character, then the reason why they needed to escape, and then the actual escape.

Maybe even more, who knows? They might even have other conflicts that we hadn't even known occurred.

Tite needs to start laying clues and foreshadowing for the revelation of the Royal Family, if he hasn't already. They don't need to pop up out of the blue and be like..."Hay Gaiz. I'm Bob, ur King".

Tousen? I think he just used hi saying "Help me and I will make everything right" crap and since tousen is so justice-bound he played right into Aizen's hands plus he recruited Gin before Tousen and I believe gin could be a higher tier than him.

I don't believe Tousen "fell" into anything. He simply took the path he believed had the least bloodshed. Tousen isn't stupid.

Also, I SERIOUSLY doubt we're going to have 100 chapters of flashbacks, and then the conclusion.

That would make like 1/3 of the story flashbacks...

And that's just dull.
