Rules for this match-up:

• Pein can only use Yahiko's body, the Summoning body (the one that looks like Deidara), and the fat body that absorbs jutsu. Don't go "Pein will win because he can use more bodies". However, he starts with all three of these bodies already deployed.
• Pein has full knowledge of Kakuzu's and Sasori's abilities and basic techniques. Kakuzu and Sasori also possess knowledge of Pein's general fighting style, no specifics though.
• Kakuzu has all his five hearts. Sasori starts in Hiruko puppet and can deploy the Sandaime Kazekage puppet, however, he cannot use his true form or the rest of his puppets.
• Do not start assuming that Rin'negan is the greatest thing since Jesus. Pein's abilities are restricted to what we've seen, with any logical additions (eg, different Fuuton jutsu etc). Same goes for Kakuzu's jutsu.
• Pein has a limited way to negate Sasori's poison. Let's say he has the same antidote that Sakura had, three doses.

Feel free to speculate what would happen if some of these rules changed, for example, if Pein had more antidote / could use more bodies, if Sasori could use all his puppets etc.

It's been a while since I've been polished on my Pein theorum, but just simply by looking at it, the duo have this matchup.

Its been a time since I've even looked at Pein's performance against Jiraiya, but basically this is what I know:

- With Sennin-Mode enabled, Jiraiya was capable (with strategy and conditions) to put down 3 of Peins bodies. I can't remember 2 of them, but I know for certain Yahiko's body was not among them.

- Yahiko's body is hinted at being the strongest of the six, but if I remember right, he didn't do much. But I doubt he'd be that much stronger than the others.

- Sasori is stronger than Deidara who put up a pretty good fight against post-maru Sasuke. Therefore (being a bit linear here), Sasori > Orochimaru. Orochimaru was evidently stronger than Jiraiya at base, which we saw when they fought and in flashbacks. Sennin-Mode puts Jiraiya above Orochimaru, but definitely not Sasori (fully capable).

Based on this little text wall, I simply give it to the duo. Unless Yahiko Pein showed something insane that I'm forgetting its a white wash :/

On the topic, though, it'd be really. Kakuzu, with his uber elemental fusion techniques, should be able to take down any summon that's thrown at the team. However, fat Pein would be able to abosrb any of Kakuzu's attacks (If I remember correctly he went to swallow Jiraiya's flame, meaning he can also abosrb elemental jutsu). However, I can see Sasori's Sandaime handling him and Yahiko Pein (though, I don't remember much of anything from the latter) with a bit of difficulty. I'll give it to the team.

With Sandaime Sasori can handle the fat guy easily, since he can not absorb metal.

So with the fat man gone, all that is left is Yahiko and his summons.

With Kakuza's elemental jutsu and Sandaime's Iron Sand, he does not stand a chance.
