I would use the Death Note just like Light did, only I wouldn't make the same mistakes he did. For one, I wouldn't make it obvious that I'm a person OR try to make it publicly known that some entity is judging the wicked. I would be subtle about it, and I would kill criminals at random times- all with heart attacks, though, just like Light.

I would also never use it on anyone trying to stop me. That's...really what made Light evil. Part of staying hidden is that I wouldn't have to confront anyone.

However, the world is much too troubled a place to be ignored. I'm compelled to say that a "Kira" figure would be necessary for the salvation of modern-day humanity. There's so much injustice in the world, I would have absolutely no self-restraint if given the power of the Death Note. And like Light, I probably wouldn't do the eye deal, but I might find someone else to do it for me.

Last but not least, this is important: It's rather frightening in a way, but one other similarity I share with Light is that I'm extremely bored these days. I'd almost use the Death Note out of pure boredom, to be completely honest. Although, of course, only to kill criminals. But then, that kind of power causes untold amounts of corruption in anyone who wields it, and with an ego like mine... Oh, shit. I find it hard to believe I could handle that power without going completely bonkers like Light did, as much as I hate to admit it. I may not do the evil laugh or anything, but I sure as hell would get cocky and think of myself as a god.

Truthfully, I'd kill anyone who pissed me off. ELIMINATE~!

I have no desire to purify the world of evil doers, as Raito did, with the Death Note. I'd use the Death Note for personal gain, and nothing else.

If I had the Death Note I don't know what I'd do. I don't think I'd be able to kill anyone with my own hands. It'd just be too much. But then, this enormous amount of power would just be sitting there, beckoning me. I mean, having that in your possession would just be...awesome. Imagine it, being able to "delete" anyone without leaving a single trace back to yourself. With that type of power, I could rise to the top. All who stand in my will eliminated. Mere mortals would be as nothing to me...I would be a GOD!

....but seriously, a power like the Death Note is much to dangerous to exist in this world. I'd most likely destroy it. If I could find it in me to give up all that power, that is.
