Hot Gimmick <3 I haven't read that in such a long time. They don't update the scanlation, ya'see. But yeah, Asuza needs to die. I was convince Tachibana needed to die for awhile, but...I got over it.

Tramps Like Us <3 (Technically it's called Kimi Wa Petto) But it's sort of a twisted plot, having a human as a pet. I only read the manga because I saw/ own the J-drama and I only watched the Drama because it had Matsumoto Jun in it. Art style is...well...Very simple and Shoujo. =/

I like Fruits Basket. It has a good plot and characters, and isn't...flaunting how messed up Japan is.

Basilisk creeps me out for ever old man looking like a corpse, Tokugawa having balls on his face, women killing you through wild sex, and...yeah, weird stuff.

My cat losing weight is fine, since it was fat. It doesn't respond to me, until this night, and only because it wants something, which is apparantly normal.

There are better characters than Kyo. Enough of the family has a more tortured past than him, so he fails to be that interesting really...

Amero, I bought my manga from the convention. I would've gone to see more what they had at the store, but it was full. Everytime I checked. Cramped with people. So it was a no-go.
Btw, Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou Tou is supposedly quite good, I need to see some to prove that... but yes, you DO need to watch Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. It is a must, Amero.
And was the convention still fun, even if I didn't get to the 4chan panel? Yes. The best part was the "Cynical Uncles" where three men, in their mid-20's to early 30's bashing anime and manga and that kind of shit. After their previous appearance at another con last year, they were asked to talk more about yaoi, and they kind of did... by shredding some yaoi manga with a paper shredder. They also were asked to talk more about moe, so they did the same treatment to a picture of one of the characters from Moe-tan(a new anime series).
Oh, but wait, they did talk a bit about moe, actually. Moe from the Simpsons, that is.
I got a good laugh out of them bashing Naruto, yaoi about Naruto, yaoi in general, Inuyasha, catgirls and furries(but cats are fine too) and so on.
It was certainly the best part about the convention. I also got some good tips about series worth watching as I went to see a lecture about that exact subject. They mentioned Akagi, Planetes, Paranoia Agent, Speed Grapher, Jigoku Shoujo, Hidamari Sketch and She, The Ultimate Weapon. And School Rumble, but they already showed the only scene worth watching in School Rumble.
Or maybe I just need to force myself watching some more of it, and with that I'll probably realize what's so good about it and then be sucked in by it eventually.
And if that won't happen, then it is certain that I don't like it, and I'll flame everyone who will suggest me to watch School Rumble from that moment onwards.

I learned that 6 in the morning is...quite the awkward time to be awake. No one online, no one awake IRL, nothing on TV...At least I got through all the anime things I wanted to do though.
Watched the second episode of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, which was alright I suppose. Intriguing and a little lulzy evey now and then. Watched the first episode of Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpucho. It was neato =] Body parts, they flew...all over. Also zombies. All over. And a strangely diverse soundtrack. And a lot of magic that involved chanting over and over again. And a villain that reminds me of Kefka.
Then I went to that site you suggested Crayne and watched two episodes of Code Geass there. I got bored of waitin' Seriously. Such a win that anime is. Filled with pretty men and anime chicks I can actually stand watching. And the shameless advertising of Pizza Hut (who's pizza isn't that good anyway)
Che...Shredding yaoi THAT IS A GROSS WASTE OF GOOD YAOI SIR. Unless it's bad yaoi, one in which I can't name as I've never met a yaoi I didn't like. I've only actually watched one of those recommended series, unless you count that I read the School Rumble manga. I remember hearing something about Ultimate Weapon being good, but I've never seen it anywhere.

just reading that has made my day entirely lol

any who onwards, good that we have some convention talk going on here because it brings back the beautiful memories of my recent trip to the London Expo the general craziness that went on there. you always are guaranteed at a anime convention that the atmosphere will be so friendly which was probably a good thing considering there was roughly about 2 inches of free space in the whole hall left with everyone crammed in there trying to frantically buy as much merchandise as they could. Also with the frighteningly large amounts of naruto cosplays trying to punk rush each other, even outside the venue you had crazy crap going on with an prime example I can give now.

also the most amusing thing was the security consisted of people dressed as stormtroopers and the very bizarre set of events that followed through the day with the security apparently clamping down hard on people wearing hoods up but seemingly no interest in the large amount of people walking around with replica samurai swords which included me and my mate.
Also carrying on the Convention theme today just before I headed out for work I decided to take an manga with me to read while was on my dinner and dug out 'Trash' by sanami matoh (if you never heard of the series don't worry neither had I, I picked it up because the cover looked cool)so i had forgotten I bought it at the expo. okay there I was munching into my dinner reading through it and quite enjoying it to be honest until I got near the end and found a truly defining moment in manga. we all know that generally manga/anime characters do absolutely anything for food well here's a new extreme (is in mine eyes anywhere XD)

no worries I'm going to continue reading it and enjoying it in my humble weird little way. personally I think my anime/manga tastes either have been shot to shit or I'm going raving mad because I've been reading a manga called Boku no Futatsu no Tsubasa which I would normally wouldn't read ever lol. And just today I received my Ichigo marshmallow dvd box set through the post which is just the most cutest super happy anime you could possibly get and this is being watched by the same person that just the other day bought a replica M4A1 assault rifle and was taking pot shots at the birds in the garden.
