The next time my presence graces the local manga/anime/DVD store which is excellently enormous and contains TONS of goods, my purchases are already set to be the following: Ultimate Muscle volume 14 if it's released when I get there, and Hunter x Hunter volume 4. Other than that, it's probably one or two Love Hina volumes.
Yeah, I'm into Love Hina. Anyone else here?
Sure you didnt mate... I opened it up, and the first few pages where what looks like two girls, one going down on the other... did it actually get better after that spanko?
I got Black Cat vol 1, it wasnt too bad a read. Might actually continue reading it as it seemed interesting enough. NGE Angelic Days was also another purchase, wasnt as bad as everyone was making it out to be...
Well I didnt actually look inside, so there goes that theory. >_>
Well I am only about halfway through that. Its okay, I havnt come up with an opinion yet, though I have been half asleep reading most of it.
NGE Angelic days was... Meh. Its okay, but it just doesnt feel right. Its basically the same story but... different? All the characters except Rei react in the same way, which I guess is good done by the manga-ka. However I think that Rei's character isnt actually as interesting as the Rei in the orginal NGE (which is probably no the right way to put it, since Rei's character didnt have a particularly 'interesting' personality in the original).
Now that I think about it, Angelic Days seems like what NGE would be like if someone like Disney tried to turn it into a movie and make it freindly.
----
Love Hina? Anyone who was once in with the Chibi gang would know I am a fan of LH. Havnt got all the way through the manga yet (I think upto 9, which would make it the largest out of my collection), however its anime's is one of the only adaptations which I truely found to be dissapointing, which may or may not mean something coming from me.

Yeah Encore, you totally missed the Love Hina craze. You know I only read the Love Hina manga about 6 monthes ago. I still like the anime, but the manga is better I suppose.
Is this BoogiePop: Don't Laugh similar to Boogiepop Phantom. Because that's what the name relates to in my head. Though I never watched all of Phantom. I usually just fell alseep.

BoogiePop Manga: I picked it up and read it, I swear it wasn't for the hentai scene which was nothing that bad, I expected worse, from Spank. XP

I finished collecting Cowboy Bebop today, all that is left is to watch it and ALL of Heat Guy J,

I think Boogiepop Phantom is the anime of Boogiepop: Doesnt Laugh, though I cant be sure. I think they are from the same idea, but different stories. Atleast I remember reading something like that on the back of the manga, I would check but I didnt think to bring my manga to uni (which was stupid since I was dead board on my lunch break).
There was only about one page of the slightest bit of ecchi in the first few coloured paged of the manga. Basically you just got idea that a guy was going down on his girlfreind (and saw the tiniest little bit of front bum).
---
Now since I have started to spend money on manga again, I am having trouble controlling the urge to go down the road and buy more... Its that bastard addictive cycle of buying. Somehow though, I cant seem to bring myself to shell out money for anime anymore.
I think I will have to hurry up and finish this bastard accounting statement so I can get down to the shops before they close.

So yeah, I've been buying stuff. More Excel Saga, more Death Note. Maybe I should start buying Berserk soon. And with soon, I mean: "When I have enough money"
So people, any thoughts on Jing The Bandit King?

Jing The Bandit King, are you talking about the anime or manga? The manga isnt too bad, a different style of art, especially in the 'Twighlight Tales' series. The anime is alright, I didnt mind it overall. Basically you follow Jing on his adventures, his mother seems to be sealed in a crystal, though it leaves that pretty open and unexplained. He "steals" things from locations, though its usually for the greater good of the people...

Engel you should drive down this way and then give me a lift to the city when you go. I need to get me some more Hellsing. NEEEEED TO.
---
Well I finally finished the first volume of Boogiepop Doesnt Laugh, apparently it turns out that there is only 2 volumes of 'Doesnt Laugh, but there are 12 different novels or arcs in the Boogiepop franchise. Boogiepop Phantom is the anime arc of it, and there is also a live action movie.
While I didnt find it the most interesting manga I have read, it has a little bit of a psychological side to it which I have been looking for a little while now. The entire story of Boogiepop is told through five different people, almost feeling a little bit like Pulp Fiction, but not really.
---
Watching something called Voices from a Distant Star right this moment, it doesnt seem overly great, its about a young girl who is sent intos space to fight for earth while her boyfreind is left on earth, they can only communicate through text messages and do so for a long time, all the while the boyfreind stays on earth while the girl in space bearly ages (thats something to do with physics).
So far its proving kind of.. boring. Though I am sort of not paying more then 25% attention.

Jing the King of Bandits or Jing, the Bandit King is one awesome manga, Crayne. I agree with Engel, but the manga is utterly facinating, and I'll pick up volume 2 so soon. Full of caliginosity.

Odd...I didn't expect people's responses to it. Because I hate it. Frankly, it was one of the worst mangas I've ever read. =/
<>

Well, I'm back from the convention...and didn't have a camera. But, oh
well. I bought five manga's. Volume 2 of Trigun, and volumes 1-4 of
Trigun Maximum. I recently found that I had a tad bit more money than I
thought, so I plan on dropping buy at Chapters some time or another to
pick of volume 5. First time I bought something in about a year.

OMG, Cowboy Bebop. <333 Nearly finished the series, only two DVDs to watch after I finished off buying the series, now I'll have to either get YYH DVD 5 and Witch Hunter Robin boxset or Wolf's Rain boxset.

I know the feeling. It wasn't active at all the past few days...
But it's good to convert people. I'm working on getting a girl in my Geometery class into J-rock.

Shadow Revenge, You're in. Not an impressive list but I'm sure we can educate you a fair bit if you're active.

While I've heard of Jing, I've never read it. It didn't strike me in a particular way when I heard about it.
