One Piece is well more known, but you know what kills it? the dub. I mean, no one wants to watch something broken, and don't even try fixing it. =|

I don't dislike a series, I just don't bother with it, fangirls and the biggest plague, ever. No one wants idiots saying stupid things over and over claiming certain people are the best, the "n00bs" aren't that bad, unless they're like "I know what happens!" and stuff like that, acting like they know everything about a series, when they obviously don't.

I like mainstream, when I can have a REAL discussion with it, when I don't have people talking with me and start saying shit like "Ichigo's Ban-Kai rulez1!!!11!1" idiot shit like that, I may do it as times as a joke mid-conversation, but I'm not always spouting out crap like that. I read Death Note, well.. I read it, until everyone started piling onto it and I had less and less intelligent conversation with people over the series, I've even had some random people IMing me and spoiling me on what happens and crap like that.
Yes, I agree, I've turned into a complete asshole, I know that myself, I take anime and manga too seriously... like some WAY over-obsessed nerd. I need a time out. Cheque please.

As his signature. That makes you as bad as "teh n00bs" as they happen to be classed, as you class One Piece above everything else and don't want to take anything else as an answer. N00bs are nothing more than show offs which can easily be brought down with proof or direct info which can prove them wrong.

And by your logic, something which apprently has a bad dub makes you want to talk about it more, when something which hasn't got a bad dub; you don't want to know about anymore completely missing out on intelligent conversation there. If the dub is bad, your going to be plagued by more silly antics and posts than ever before.
If someone bothers you with a post you can't respond to, don't respond to it. If someone makes such regard as "Ichigo Bankai rulz!!" then either disregard it and carry on about something else or post him up on the matter agreeing or disagreeing. By doing that you can infact teach them more about it than they probably know and end up having a good convo.
You just think right now that you know more than some other people do and thus you are big headed. Until the time comes you are brought down, you don't like it anymore.

I never said the One Piece dubs brings in more fans or makes you want to talk about it more, I just said it kills the series, meaning it isn't popular with people and has hardly any fans for what has happened to it.
Do you know how hard it is to reason with someone who's being impossible to even listen to you? Seriously, it's just not possible, I mean, they don't care what you say it won't change their minds, at all, it's rare to find someone like that who does listen and learn.
I never did think I knew more than everyone, I just came to realize the truth which not many people see on this board alone... though it never really happened here.

Heh, Kaaru reminds me of myself when I was a young'un hating anything that was mainstream (of course I never really read manga or anything back then). After a while I realised that it doesnt matter what others think and just liked what I like without caring about what its pop status was. Now however it seems that the things I steer away from, are the things that Kaaru always talks about (maybe its because he tries to tell me he got me interested in some things). [^_^]
Still he's a good kid with a vast amount of knowledge, just gets a little arrogant at times. I used to laugh when he kept telling me that he would have a bigger collection then me, I think I still slightly out number him but it's more likely then not that he has alot more knowledge then me.
I used to think that Sports Manga was a stupid idea, not understanding what would make it all that more interesting over a regular book about sports. That was until Engel convinced me to buy Prince of Tennis when we were at Supernova earlier in the year. It turned out to be pretty good, alot better then I originally thought atleast.
Anyways, I was thinking of going into the big bad city of Brisbane today to fetch me some new gear, however Engel said he wanted to wait til tomorrow since a bunch of new stuff is being released. So I am sitting here bored shitless with nothing better to do, I would go to my local and pick up something sweet but I checked it out yesterday and there wasnt much that caught my eye except Gilgamesh, which only had DVD 2 and 3. I'm not completely convinced by it, but it looks to be atleast half decent out of the anime my local has on offer.
I know I have asked this plenty of times before but I am searching for more anime or manga in tune with Perfect Blue, like a Thriller or Horror movie/series. I havnt really come across anything other then Perfect Blue that really fits what I want. Really just anything that is more Mature then alot of stuff out these days.
Lastly on the note of the MFG 'meme', NO. Just plain and outright NO. Its not even a meme, its just one or two people saying it occassionally.

Mainstream, underground, personally it doesnt really bother me and never has. If I like something, then I like it. I understand the point he makes about losing interest when constantly confronted by the over-zealous fans that believe christ himself would rise from the dead to read/watch/listen (music for that last one) it. When confronted by one of these idiots, I simply decide to just nod along and slowly step back; though always attacking them is fun. The best times are when they obviously uneducated in the series they so seem to love, and also ignorant to other series.
I can understnad what ol' wiri has said, though his way of saying it was just fucked up and came of as arrogant (please dont spred rumours about me now >_>' )If its good, its good.

Spank: Try out the ghost in the shell: stand alone complex. Its a good watch and has a good thrill to it. I still say you should check out Tenjou Tenge though. Kind of like a much much better version of Ikki tousen (meaning its worth watching and buying xD )

xD I'm not obssesed with Miyavi. HYDE is my favourite singer. And Jaejoong is just beautiful to look at (not to mention he sings well) =P If you think that's crazy, you should see my music folder. Kaaru knows what I'm talking about xD
And I don't think that liking maistream stuff is bad. Like here where I live you basically depend on net, since you can hardly find any manga in stores. As far as anime goes, LT channels broadcasted these so far:
Rorouni Kenshin, Candy Candy, Speed Racer, Jetter Mars, Digimon, Pokemon, Bidaman, Duel Masters, Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball/Z/GT, Hellsing, Kite, Mezzo Forter, Yu-Gi-Oh. So, as you can see, such maistreams as Gundam, FMA, One Piece are not known to everyday viewers of LT. I mean, we have some fierce otaku alright, who know everything about manga and anime, but it's not too common. I remember the time DBZ was being broadcasted, people were actually skipping classes to watch it.
So if you like mainstream object, it doesn't matter that you're not looking for something lesser-known, the point is, whether you become retarded punk who takes in every detail and then argue about it with other people making them insane (power levels to the thousandths and the shade of the cloth's tone) or just enjoy the story and lead a normal life.

whoah, you even have folders... my pics are alphabethized, but I don't put them in folders, cuz I don't think there are so many of them or something.
though there might be something in common with your and my system, if you look at my music folder (just for the record, Lithuanian and Other folders originally are kept in other folder, I just pasted them in there for general view) i'm shocked, but there's more than 1GB of TVXQ stuff, but that's probably because I've put TV dramas in there too. As far as the music itself goes - L'arc is unbeatable - over 900 MB of pure j-rock. I have their all 11 albums. There you can tell that I'm obsessed. Not to mention, that even albums inside every folder are arranged by their release date and there's even the thumbnail of the cover. Yes, I'm mad v__v

Good thing, I don't keep all the Bleach eps in my comp. HDD would die on me...

Actually,
I know exactly what your talking about, because I debate a lot about
many different animes and.....well, once you've debated with a
dragonball fanboy, you will never, ever take anyone else half as
seriously again. Ever.



On a more positive note, once you get used to it, and get good at it
enough to dominate any debate in which your opponent(s) are completely
incorrect, it starts to actually get enjoyable. Then again, from what I
know of you, you're a lot more passive about certain things than me, so
it all depends on personality I guess. But I wouldn't let people's
ignorance spoil your fun so easily. =)
