I jumped off the Bleach and Death Note bandwagon a while ago, once a series goes mainstream, that's it, it ain't my scene, full of n00bs and fangirls.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a series which isn't well known and I was the only member a few months back to be reading it and have interest in it, before I knew of all the Jojo memes.
Yeah, now I'm also having great intrest in JoJo's Bizarre.
Legend, it's not weird that you haven't dived into the divine, bizarre world of JoJo's, because the series is far from the mainstream line of Shonen manga, and not very common. Once you hop into it, you'll be stunned... pick up some of Viz's translated Part III, the one containing WRYYYYY and Dio Brando.
DIO BRANDO REINCARNATED.
Read JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Legend. And also try some Ranma 1/2, it's mainstream but pretty entertaining at moments.

I got Jojo volume 4 today, though volume 3 left me with a cliff hanger for like... 5 months. =|
Ranma 1/2 is a good series, unlike Inuyasha --shudder-- it's funny and the artwork is spot-on.

It's old, started like... 1980s, IIRC, 8 storylines sprawled over 80 volumes, though Viz only licensed the most popular part of the series, part 3, Jotaro Kujo's story. The artwork is dire in the first part, but the manga-ka learns as he goes along, the artwork and story gets better, great stuff.

It's a LONG story. Basicly each story arc is based around a character who's first and last name begin with "Jo" hence Jojo. First story arc is about Johnathon Joestar and him fighting against Dio Brando in 1886 England. Second storyline is about Johnathon's grandson Joseph Joestar trying to make a living and going on an adventure for money in 1940s America. third storyline is about Kujo Jotaro traveling from Tokyo to Egypt with Joseph Joestar and friends they meet along the way, to once and for all destroy Dio Brando.
I've never read parts 4-8 though I do know some small things about them.

You just made an excellent choice, my friend. DIO BRANDO FTW!
>_>
Anyways, I read some more Ippo, and thought about something... some forums has FC's where people can discuss freely about one thing in an certain anime or one anime they especially like, without a password, simply discuss and chat in an topic for itself, just get accepted. And there are FC-sigs.
Anyways, Legend - you like One Piece so far? Damn boy... it gets better once you get to chapter 180-190... then it's great around 400...

One Piece is a great series, supposedly the artwork makes it too "cartoony" and it can't be taken seriously. Once it hits the Arlong arc it's gets great, character development is slow, but when it happens it really is a treat, the action's great too, but only on certain fights.

Yeah, on certain fights. Not really, I adore the action in about every fight, from the miniscule Usopp vs. Arlong's Henchman Puss... to Captain Kuro vs. Luffy in the very beginning to the amazing Gear 2 in action against Blueno and the awesomeness of Zoro as he opposes Kaku.
One Piece.Pwns.Permanently.
And it's the best manga out there, listen to me. The newest chapter was awesome. j00 agree karru-ssan!1!!!11!

Well, 'twas my birthday on the 25th, so to celebrate, my best friend and his sister will be coming over for a few days, and we'll be attending an anime convention in downtown Toronto. I have birthday money to spend, so I'll be buying some manga....or anything else that might catch my eye (that I can actually afford).....It'll be the first thing I've bought for myself since my last birthday. Well, I'm looking forward to it. My friends live a good two hour drive from my house, so I don't get to see them often enough.
Youuu! I feel so unwanted not even being told about your birthday. I thought we were friends.
Same here, but my birthday went very well in the real world. I wish you guys, especially here in "Anime Society", would have given me a proper celebration of my 18th birthday since on July 30th.
Thats nice to here. Well, Happy Belated Birthday...im real late >_>
Yup, it is. I did deserve a lot better than from what I expected, when my birthday celebrated a day earlier before my 18th birthday.
HOLY SHIZ KIDS. Its your birthdays and I didnt know? Seems a whole bunch of us have midyear birthdays. Here's a little something from your favourite Monkey ^_^
Haha, thanks for the birthday monkey, Spanky. Ehh ... I should have told you guys about my birthday almost a month back. But, in other words, it's good to hear that you guys surely do care.
Lots of things to celebrate. I'll get drunk for the lot of you. ^_^
Yuppers, there is, ever since my Father was able to celebrate his birthday on August 15th. I can't wait to be nineteen next year. And, haha ... what kind of drink you plan on getting drink with? Beer, rum, or wine?
Amerowolf, getting drunk? DID I MENTION SHE'S 6"4? *overexaggerates and overuses MFG's first meme*
Aye, yes, it reminds me of the time when Vicky got drunk and posted in my profile like that. Gosan was so jealous of me getting lucky to have her post. And, dude, your over-reacting - Amerowolf is not that tall.

A few people have said similar things, but let's be real, the point for making anime is to get it popular (at least that's one of the goals).
Plus if it weren't for mainstream anime, I would miss out on a lot. I guess I can see the point in your post though, but any good anime will get popular...eventually.

Yes, but as long as it sells, they don't care who too. I mean... I feel sorry for Bleach fans when all the Ed fangirls get their sights on Hitsugaya, let the good times roll~!
Yes, so you see I must go from series to series and enjoy it as much as I can, before I must fight people off with a common sense stick.

Dio Brando's logic makes me chuckle with one moment he doesn't acknowledge bleach anymore but then he is totally enthusiastic with one piece which I would say has the same social status as bleach along anime fans.
ANYWAY......
Someone assist me NOW I'm in desperate need of decent scans of death note chapters 70 and above, these lower quality versions simply do not hack it. If anyone knows the whereabouts of some decent scans pleaser sent me a link because I need my fix....
