Luffy will eventually have to team up with someone to fight the strongest villian of the arc whether he like it or not. If he didn't, One Piece would slowly loose interest.

But Luffy will get weak for awhile after using Gear 2 and 3. So, Franky should stay and help Luffy while Nami and Usopp catch up with Robin.

He's probably going to use gear 2 and 3 as a last resort. When Lucci transforms into his animal form, Luffy will definetely have to transform into at least gear 2. Then that'll probably be when Franky intervenes and teams up with Luffy.

Has anyone read chapter 417 yet? I hope Zoro finish off Kaku in that chapter so we see Luffy and Luuci's fight.

I read a translation for chapter 417 a few minutes ago. Sorry, but Zoro is still fighting Kaku.

You could also say that Zoro finished Kaku off with his new technique(highlight to read), Kyutouryu Asura Ichibukin (9-Sword Style Asura One Fog Silver[I'm not aware whether there is more to this name, or not...])

Zoro's new technique is unbeliveable. How the hell did he created 2 more heads and arms on himself.

The only explanation I can come up with, is that he just swung/moved his arms and head so quickly, that it left an afterimage. Thus it would seem that he has three heads and six arms.

Shouldn't of Zoro cut through all the CP9 members when they use Tekkai? Zoro is capable to cut through steel since Alabasta.

Tekkai>>steel, I guess? Well, Kaku for an instant, could use Tekkai. I mean, he used to be a carpenter of the Galley-La suupaa company for a good chunk of time, and he's got skills with steel, machinery, wood, iron and metallic tings.... that means he's as resistant to steel as possible?

And ZORO'S SWORD? Nah/yes.

I'm a little behind the Zoro vs. Kaku battle though, just read chapter 411 Nami vs. Kalifa.

BTW, I'm re-reading from volume 18 and up to the end of the Arc where Luffy wears tehrz!1!1 afro!1!11.... right now at the part where Crocodile and Luffy are having their very first fight in the desert... ouch, Croc is such a better villain than Lucchi.
