Ace didn't appear in the first chapter and he was old enough to leave his hometown. I'm guessing Ace was on the other side of island when Luffy ate the Gum Gum fruit and when Shanks and his crew left the island.

I think Ace had already joined Whitebeard's crew as a child. He said he was a member for a long time

If I were to guess, I'd say that Ace left to sail the seas when he was a kid... then he ate (accidentally or not) the Mera Mera Fruit, and then joined Whitebeard's crew.

Ace and Luffy are not direct brothers, more like cousins that share the bloodline and are part of the First D. Last clan (First and Last are reference to names) explaining how they don't look alike and have different last names. D = Dreamers or Demons, depends on what side you wanna look at.

Most likely Ace arrived with Shanks crew, and lived on the island with Luffy. Most likely he was the one who initiated Luffy into the Dreamers Clan during Luffy's training following the 10 years after Shanks departure. Blackbeard may have been part of Whitebeard's crew already, and Ace joined him as a "Whitebeard" Pirate, as they went to the Grand Line. Blackbeard's real name is Marshal D. Teach by the way. Since then Ace proved his loyalties to Whitebeard and quickly became his 1st Lieutenant, which lead Blackbeard to jealousy, causing Blackbeard to do whatever evil acts his performed which caused Ace to follow him. Most likely Ace ate the fruit as a gift of promotion from Whitebeard or something else... (He's a pirate, even if he's a nice guy!)

Least thats as much as I can assume and speculate. I mean... Ace and Luffy don't look alike, and only act alike in terms of how much they eat, the way they sleep, and their ambitions. Outside of that it would be impossible to tell that they were brothers at all.

Also this is just me again. Shanks and Makino = Luffy (Makino is the bartender). They weren't married, Shanks was a 20 yearold pirate, she was a young woman, Luffy shares Shank's dreams and looks, as well as a small frame, supportive that both his parents weren't large people. Though Luffy's mom hasn't been revealed I can't think of anyone else to fit the role, especially since he's at her bar all the time.

before he left the home island or later and then if he ate it before he joined the whitebeard crow or later?

i think he ate it after he laeft the home island and before he joined whitebeard

I think Ace travel less in the East Blue and travel mostly in the other Blues when he left home.

Did you not read the rest of the 414 issue? He was just attempting to bait Sanji in to attack him like he did Usopp, though thankfully Sanji planted his boot right on Jayabura's chin.

I never stated he wasn't a kid. I'm stating he arrived on the island either during or after (or with) Shank's crew, which sparked off his dream of being a pirate as well. After allowing Luffy to join "D" and several years he left (Possibly with Blackbeard, who at the time was a member of Whitebeard's crew) and sailed to the grand line.

I highly doubt Ace ate the Mera Mera fruit when he was 17~19 He had to get a reputation for being "Fire Fist Ace" (Don't dare say "Heat Fist Trace")

Well, swinging around a large ball made of gold might make a person a bit stronger...

And yes, it is obvious that Jyabura was just trying to trick Sanji so that he would get a free shot at him... Sanji however saw through that, and shoved his foot to Jyabura's jaw.

Come one Oda... show us more of Luffy vs. Lucchi!

Once the fights between Jyabura vs Sanji and Kaku vs Zoro finish up theres guaranteed to be more Luffy vs Lucci. Especially now since the Gate of Justice began to open, and Franky is running down there right now.

Luffy and Lucci will continue to fight, Luffy urging Franky to go save Robin. So it'll be Spandam vs Franky, this time Franky will probably mess up more than Spandams face.
