Gohan's post clearly stated that was the line in the original. Both Buu's seperated, the evil one got the majority of the power.

Vegeta and everyone else weren't idiots to assume Majin Buu could became consumed with emotional turmoil and spawn another Majin Buu, and I doubt it was brought up for kicks and giggles.

What's with this everyone thing? Vegeta stated this: What "if" he creates another of those monsters? That's no direct quote stating he actually will, just Vegeta being cautious. He did the same exact thing when Cell exploded; he wanted to finish #18 off while she was unconscious. So that quote means nothin. All of the evil was already expelled in Evil Buu.

(Dunno if that was filler in anime) He was never exposed to the situation again anyway; and one could argue that he was already innocent, in a sense, after absorbing the grand supreme kai and that he didn't understand that murdering was wrong until he met Hercule.

Buu meeting Hercule is what disrupted his soul in a way, which got him to release all of the evil within him. He was in the process of being good, but couldn't completely do so, because he was still somewhat evil. He was pretty angry against Kid Buu, but he didn't power-up against him, so he had a chance.
