Basically, We've got a lot of characters on out plate and they need to be developed before we get new ones. What's happening right now with old school Soul Society is good. If it branches over to Aizen and explain some of the Arrancar, it'll be even better.

It's not a case of making them > Ichigo, but they could at least make some pretence at being useful.
