Default Re: Light of Death

The Son family's voice actors... at the very least Masoka has a deep voice and adds a certain intensity (with a certain briefness of voice acting just on an emotional level that works especially well when sheer silence sets the mood as a backdrop, working well with glancing words and pious actions) in her voice acting that makes her rather apt for the role of Son Goku. She's quite ambidextrous in her voice acting, which is a quality with merit in itself.

As for those irked at Nozawa voicing Burdock, compare dub and Japanese version of the very last few minutes of the Burdock special and listen to the immense divide in mood. I feel the Japanese version couldn't have done it any better.

That aside, back on-topic, fellow posters. This is in regards to canon discussion, I take it?

But so as to stay on-topic, Chibi Mystic Gohan is quite correct in regards to the translation.

Makanôsappô is the original term, but Light of Death (VIZ's translation) works as well.
