I wanted to give you guys a no-spoilers taste >_>
Basically, this God, Deus ex Machina, gives twelve chosen people [Future Diaries], which show them the future of whatever they used to write about in their regular journal or diary. They have to destroy each other's diaries, and the last one standing replaces Deus as the God of Time and Space.
Delicious Yuno is in love with Yukiteru, the main character, and she would write about him all the time (she's a psycho stalker-type), so her [Future Diary] records Yukiteru's future. You can see how that would help him win...
