Fused character is a special entity,and I think that memories, feelings, cockiness(:D) all things got mixed up, so if only Goku knew of kamehameha, Vegeto's knowledge of kamehameha would be diluted, and that would explain why fused character never used an attack or technique that only one char knew and used his own attacks like Gotenks.
