It's even faster than instant transmission (10,000 km). That counts for something. Also, we see more than just him zipping around the Earth in one panel. The page show him streaking through the land-scape and kicking up waves on both sides (the effects we see Super Boo have when he flies to the ROSAT).
Also, 24 times would be the bare-minimum: a "couple dozen" might be 36.

Apparently you haven't been following the arguement.
The Earth is 8,000 miles in diameter.
The speed of light is 186,000 miles per second. Let's say hypothetically that a jet can move at that speed.
Divide:
186,000/8,000=23.25
That means the jet would circle the Earth 23 times. Keep in mind this is per second, not per hour (mph). So it literally means the jet is moving 8,000 miles per second and would encircle the Earth 23 times in 23 seconds.
As for the panel, Gotenks said he "got so bored waiting for you [Piccolo] I took a short nap,". It barely even takes a minute to get down from Kami's look-out (Which is several hundred feet above Karin's and that is hundreds of feet above the Earth). It was in 24 seconds (Or less). |
