Default ATTN: All you who do not like this section dead.

Write.

It doesn't have to be something massively epic, nor something drastically original, or something enormous. But when you write something, post it up. Noone became a great writer by sitting on his ass and looking over and over the same piece of work, trying to make it flawless. No, you become great by having others view your work, hear their comments and follow their advice from their third-person perspective. Also, noone ever became a great writer without being a good reader first. Even if you think it's a massive waste of time to post your stories on MFG because of lack of comments, do it. Someone might read them, and even if he doesn't comment, he might find something in your work that intrigues him, and he wants to try it, so he might incorporate a specific element, whatever it may be, into his work to make it better. Then he will post his work on MFG, and you will read it, and another element that you might have lacked may come into your attention, and you will use it to improve the quality of your own writing etc. Writing isn't nearly as much of a solitary work as it sounds.

So yeah. Write, no matter what or how small, and post it. Read what's there, and comment on it. That's the only way to help others improve, which will in turn help yourself improve.

There's a contest still open, and it's there for a reason. Those who are in it, go there, and write. If you don't want to any more, then write something else. This section is called "Community Activities" for a reason. Unless the community participates, there are no activities. So go out there, and do your magic.

*goes to follow own advice*
