Yes.
But it reveals that Madara is quite possibly an overrated hack, whose only real strength was his Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.
Sarutobi>Shodai. We have a roof limit for Shodai's strength. The fact that Madara is below that roof means he's been grossly overestimated, at least his younger self. Although, the prescence of Kyuubi means Shodai probably won with mad Senju hacking. But still, the fact that Madara got so bloodied-up in the process means he must've been fairly weak. What about Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu, and all that shit? How could Shodai possibly get around any of that? I have so many questions, but right now, evidence suggests Madara lost fair and square, which to me, needs explaining, big time. At least the open window of "we still didn't see HOW he lost" is open.
I agree, though. The artwork was superb this time around.
