They've already got a pretty shit reputation as it is. The fact that they've crushed 2 protests led by monks with some really shady results has won them no love in the international community. The only people who continue to help them are the Chinese and since the last incident there even they've shyed away from aiding them.

As unfortunate as it is, it is bound to get so much worse than it is now.
